Friday's meeting

Post by onewayup » Thu Nov 16, 2023 5:11 pm

I really hope that all attendees show composure and decorum at this meeting it is a chance to both question and inform from both the core fans in attendance and the manager ,D F C S G board, and our CEO. Let's remember we are all together in this we are all after the same outcome,a successful club at the end of the day ,we have to work together to assertain the best way forward. So hopefully no shouting down of anyone no disrespect from anyone,we see a peaceful meeting conducted in the correct manor.
We don't want any over reaction from Tuesday evening, it's done we must now move forward,
As a group all together looking forward, 👍

What you usually find from these forums is that the board and management give a really good account of themselves, everyone leaves feeling optimistic and looking forward to the future, and the team carry losing every week. If we could turn our forum form into league form we'd be flying.

I hope/Expect the same--though when I said that on another thread (ie we dont want the internet loudmouths shouting at the forum ) some posters seemed to think that was ok as they were 'passionate fans'....ffs!

We've nothing to worry about. There's so many CEO and manager candidates on this forum we can take our pick.

Except it's not what you said, is it? You referred to the "entitled loudmouths on here." I don't see a raft of people on here slagging off the board as you stated. Yes there are people raising legitimate doubts about the appointment and generally putting it in a reasonable, factual and well-argued way and not one of them threatening or advocating a shouting match. The scenario you've invented about the supposed threat from posters on here is entirely in your head.

I think the forum will be fine, vast majority of fans understand the amount of unpaid work that goes into everything.
Also think most will give Gowling the breathing space he needs without shouting for his sacking as you have been (though you are obviously entitled to that opinion)
