Download Limewire, that is usually pretty reliable for downloading tunes, wouldn't suggest downloading much else off it mind.

Get a rapidshare or mediafire account and search music sites/forums/blogs etc

Why would you title a thread 'off topic sorry....' and then proceed to post it in the forum NOT called the off topic room!?

I agree with Darlo_Fanatic, Rapidshare is the way to go. A few quid a month for a premium account but downloading is so much easier and faster.

I use limewire to download individual tunes and always scan with Norton once completed, but like I said I would seriously advise against downloading any other files such as video's or documents on it.

If I ever download full albums or Movies, I tend to use Piratebay, very reliable torrent site, but still advisable to scan each file just in case.

NEVEREVER use Limewire! It will wreck your computer.

As mentioned, look at getting a rapidshare / hotfile account and then sign up to forums. One I know, not sure if its still going is forumw.org

The music industry ripped off consumers for years, and deserves everything it gets.

Yep. Spotify and Grooveshark are good alternatives to downloading music and are 100% legal.

To get a free account on Spotify you now need to get an invite from someone who has a premium account - alternatively you can subscribe as mentioned above. Grooveshark has a much bigger library than Spotify and is free to use, but the interface isn't quite as easy to navigate as Spotify's and every now and again you'll come across songs which don't work.
