Re: Darren Williams.
He would add cover accross the back line but could we afford him?
Re: Darren Williams.
played at bradford but was after todd left i think, also spent a spell with our friends up the A19, not sure how well liked he was there mind.
would make sense to have someone like this as cover for both full back positons where we are very light and for the centre of midfield. with little money we need as many players as possible who are comfortable in a number of positions.
would have thought this would signal that a deal for mark bower is dead.

Re: Darren Williams.
Todd's comments today make it sound like he could be struggling to afford Convery!! I suppose the three friendlies could make a big difference to how many more players come in.
I can't get to Sunderland game because of work and living 80+ miles away but am deffo going to the other two. We need massive gates to kickstart the season.

Re: Darren Williams.
This sounds a bit like the signing of Darren Holloway, on paper very good.
An experienced player with a couple of seasons left in the tank and local to the area, only time will tell, although as SM says you wonder where the money would come from even if he did look worth a punt ?
Stevie good on you mate, I can't be chewed with pre seasons my self
