Re: Liam Hatch
If it is a dislocated elbow it will be a long recovery as you can't play until it is fully healed. If it isn't fully healed you'd pop it every time you fall over.

Especially as Hatch tends to be on the brittle side with dislocations etc.Quakerz wrote:If it is a dislocated elbow it will be a long recovery as you can't play until it is fully healed. If it isn't fully healed you'd pop it every time you fall over.

Re: Liam Hatch
According to a physio its not an injury to rush back from, due to the impact of the game and use of arms for running and balance, and of course general use in the game. Its not worth the risk to rush back as it will only put you out for longer.

Didier Drogba played with a broken arm in the world cup....I doubt Peterborough will let him play with an injury though!

If it is serious he will probably be recalled by Peterborough (or sent back by us). Looks like we'll need another striker after all!

It's his elbow. If you put a cast on it he wont be able to bend his arm.PierremontQuaker03 wrote:Didier Drogba played with a broken arm in the world cup....I doubt Peterborough will let him play with an injury though!

Hmm, I think she is talking just the "fixing time" rather than the complete healing time. Say you break your leg, you may be in plaster for 6-8 weeks and walking soon after that, but 6 months before you can play football.

Try this website
http://www.train.tcu.edu/ross/ELBOW.HTM.
According to this, 4-6 weeks minimum for an 'athlete involved in collision type activities'.

Re: Liam Hatch
I reckon 8-10 weeks before he's fit enough to play, reckon we might see him mid October,he'll prob miss around 10 games or so
Fingers crossed the prognosis is as good as it can be
If Senior can get himself fit we might be alright, him and wright up top should still be good enough

We don't even know what his injury is yet!
Re: Liam Hatch
Whether it's a dislocated elbow, shoulder or even a broken arm you're talking recovery time in the same ball parkQuakerz wrote:We don't even know what his injury is yet!

Exactly Q, more often than not footy injuries arent as bad as first thought.

What if it is none of the above.divas wrote: Whether it's a dislocated elbow, shoulder or even a broken arm you're talking recovery time in the same ball park
Remember when everybody thought he'd broken his neck? He didn't move for half an hour and people were fearing if he'd even walk again - he was right as rain the next day and back playing in about 3 weeks.

Re: Liam Hatch
I heard it was a broken elbow from a mate in the press box. He was on the bench for a few minutes after the injury getting treatment there, then presumably off in the ambulance. It looked a fairly innocuous challenge at the time, but he stayed down and went off very gingerly.
