Has to be the worst player in our squad by a distance. Cooper won't drop him because he was at Kettering and won't admit he is an awful signing.

Yes but Aaron Brown showed glimpses Taylor has offered nothing of yet.

Based on 2 games, give the lad a chance FFS! He isn't match fit, just like Brown, be patient and give him time!

Taylor is a canny player. It would help however if Cooper didnt play him at right back and expect him to cross with his right foot when its obvious he prefers his left.

I agree with this he looks like a good attacking player, scoot wiseman.

The difference with Brown is that he pretty much had to play as we didnt have a LB. Taylor didnt need to be played tonight, Arnison has been in good form and should never have been dropped - and as for the pace comment by Cooper - utter bollocks, that was sheer favouritism.

as said on another thread divas, couldnt agree more - Taylor shouldnt be automatically given a game based on past performances when Arni has been one of our best players over the last couple of months.

It is because Cooper had Taylor at Kettering and he is convinced everyone he had at Kettering was a great footballer. Yes Taylor has had an England C cap but he isn't a good player at the position Cooper is playing him. Even if he played there with Arnison right midfield then he could help back and Taylor's defending could/would improve.

i thought taylor was poor last night, arni has done well and was unlucky to be dropped, that said its wrong to write taylor off after 2 games, i wasnt impressed with modest either but again i wont write him off - yet

He's been poor on each occasion he's played for us. Although I won't write him off (like many did with Brown), I'd prefer Arnison at right back. Arnison has been outstanding this season and has even chipped in with goals. Then Cooper goes and drops him - what's all that about?
Other clubs have noticed just how good Arni has become and so Coops is hiding him from view until the transfer window closes :geek:

Just think he played Taylor to keep track of their flying winger Briscoe,
as Arnie would have been out paced to easily and we all know what
happens then.
give Taylor a chance his only young.

fully expect Arnie to back on Sat. though.

Baldie

I didnt see anything from Taylor last night to think that he is 'quicker' than Arni - maybe's Arni would have positioned himself a lot better than Taylor, he shouldnt have been dropped or moved to another position to accomodate someone else when he has been one of our best players since early November

Arnie has been playing well, all our best moves have been
coming though him lately.
did not deserve to be dropped,
sure he will be back on sat.

Arnison was unlucky not to play last night, but let's not forget that Taylor played his part in keeping out one of the higest scoring teams in the league, and was up against a very good winger. He looks like he's got potential. How about giving him a proper chance? People obviously haven't learnt from what happened when Brown signed (what a surprise..)

Taylor is better in the air than arnison
Taylor is faster than arnison
Taylor is braver than arnison
Taylor is more skillful.
He's both footed

What did he do wrong in the game? I really don't know what darlo fans see sometimes, no clue about football at all.

Is this Mark Cooper in disguise?

Don't condemn a player after 2 games. He wasn't fully fit when he joined, so just because he hasn't hit the ground running doesn't mean he won't be a good player for us. Lets be patient and give him chance

Neither was Aaron Brown but he showed glimpses of being a very good player.

Not in his first game he didnt, he was awful.

Its far too soon to be saying Taylor is crap, couple more perfomances like that and maybe id be inclined to agree with you.

Don't think Arnison should have been dropped. However, Taylor is a left back who can play Centre Half, being asked to play Right Back. Didn't think he was that awful last night - as average as most of them were. Did show some nice skills at times, so can obviously play. Far, far to soon to be passing judgement.

Actually there was one move in the 2nd half at Kettering where Brown got a excellent cross in and it almost led to a goal. Fair enough the rest of the game he was awful but I remember that one move led me to think that there was a glimmer of something there if he got fit and more consistant. Thats the reason why I said at the time he should be given time to settle.
