The 'what music I'm listening to at the moment' thread
Thought it'd be easier to have one single thread for music recommendations rather than the numerous ones on here..

Saw them at Fibbers last week, any lucky bastards manage to get Stone Roses tickets? Great to see these lads supporting.

Just did another one... came up with:
Band name: Missouri locations by per capita income
Album name: I've always been insufferable
Little-known American garage band who are actually know as "Missouri locations by GDP per capita" in the UK, due to a British band already owning the rights to their name here.

Oh go on then...
George Murnaghan - And sorrows with one
Sophomore effort by a troubled accoustic singer-songwriter who tragically kills himself at an early age. Title track 'And sorrows with one' is criminally butchered in an X-Factor final decades later.

Re: The 'what music I'm listening to at the moment' thread
I've been listening to some Ocean Colour Scene this morning. Also A+E (Graham Coxon). I went to see him at the Forum last week and he was excellent as always - played a great set with songs stretching back 15 years.
I listen to very little 'new' these days. Not because I don't like it, or am one of these dicks who says music isn't what it used to be, just because I rarely find time to get into anything new.
I've also just got the Jack White album but haven't had a listen yet.

Can anyone remember Darlo_Pete's contribution to a thread about people's favourite singles or something? That was quite possibly one of the funniest posts I've ever seen on here.

You mean that generic trance shyte? Does this mean that Trance Classics Mash Up 1998 (2 Disk Edition) is the best album ever?

I've gone retro after getting the Deezer app on orange swapables
An album ahead of it's time INXS - Kick great stuff.
Also listening to Depeche Mode Singles 81-85, raw synth pop, I've got that on LP somewhere too.

Yeah the monkeys are one of my favourite bands along with Coldplay. The Fratellis should get a mention as well (but only for the Costello Music album)
