Rugby League
I’ve always enjoyed watching the highlights on the Super League show, however recently I’ve taken a fancy to its presenter Tanya Arnold, despite her deep manly voice and possible adam’s apple. Should I be worried?!

I love Super League but not watched the highlight show. I'll have to give it a look to pass comment, what day is he/she on?Earl_Lee_Dawes wrote:I’ve always enjoyed watching the highlights on the Super League show, however recently I’ve taken a fancy to its presenter Tanya Arnold, despite her deep manly voice and possible adam’s apple. Re: Rugby League
I'm a big Wigan Warriors fan. I watch the extensive Sky coverage, rather than bother with the BBC coverage. My last game was a few years ago to see them play at Leeds, when we tonked them and I got soaked, haha.

Re: Rugby League
Pete you need to get down to Castleford next sunday to see your team get a good seeing to

Re: Rugby League
This years start to Super League has been awesome, maybe the best yet. Nice to see Cas and Widnes off to flyers, change from the norm. Leeds/Warrington, Huddersfield/Leeds and Widnes/Salford have been real crackers.
Bradford's ongoing owner woes and points deduction, the Good Doctor at Salford, London on their arse in every way, it ain't dull.
I also had a fiver (as I do every TV game I watch) on Hudds/Leeds draw at 25-1......
As for Tanya Arnold, errr... no. If you get Yorkshire Look North she's waaaay down the pecking order in terms of looks. Probably below Paul Hudson!

The Tigers were featured on the Super League show last night. I didn't realize they are moving to a new stadium.

Re: Rugby League
Saw her tonight on BBC (Yorkshire) news, not my cup of tea.
Deep voice, big hands! and far too skinny.
The bird who presents 'What's the Story' on Sky, is more my taste; Sarah-Jane Mee.

Rhinos will be bringing the SL trophy back were it belongs this season, no doubt.

I'd love them to but St Helens look far too strong, they'll win everything this season.Egg Chaser wrote:Rhinos will be bringing the SL trophy back were it belongs this season, no doubt.

Saints don't have enough depth in their squad. Once injuries take their toll later in the season saints won't be strong enough.comeondarlo wrote:I'd love them to but St Helens look far too strong, they'll win everything this season.Egg Chaser wrote:Rhinos will be bringing the SL trophy back were it belongs this season, no doubt.

Looking forward to the new season in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we'll be able to go and watch Wigan play a few times this season.

I'll be watching Wigan on Thursday on Sky away at Widnes. Rob I think last season was your last chance for a while to win some silverware!!

Rob did you enjoy the game against the Wakefield Wildcats on Sunday? What was the score, I presume a comfortable win for Castleford?

Re: Rugby League
I did enjoy game even though we lost -we were winning quite comfortably until conceding 2 converted trys in last few minutes losing 22-24, looks like our team is not as good as last year so top 8 finish will be hard. The crowd was nearly 11,000 not bad for a population of 40,000

Yep that's good support, even though no doubt half the crowd came from Wakefield, haha.

Re: Rugby League
World series was a lesson in how to play what a team are South Sydney Rabbitohs winning so easily and their season hasnt even started! I think a few quid on them at 5/1 to win NRL is in order!

Agreed that the NRL does seem to be up a level from the Superleague. Not sure how we bridge the gap.

It's the fourth most popular out of the big four team sports in the UK after union, cricket and football. To the aussies, union is fifth choice including aussie rules yet they still beat us at unionso what chance have we got at league.

That's easier said than done, when Aussie clubs seem to be more cash rich than ours.
