Wow what a comeback, tremendous game and a great advert for RL. More of the same next week please at the Magic Weekend.
Great game to watch as a neutral. Ryan Hall’s yellow should’ve had a heftier punishment imho, the rules need looking at; that said the game wouldn’t have been as good to watch!

Not sure the last part of that holds up. (Certainly in KR's thinking). The best scoring period we had in the game was while Ryan was in the bin !!!

Found out today Ethan Ryan played 70 minutes with a broken jaw. Roger Milward would be proud of him !!
Probably the last we see of him as he is leaving KR at the end of the season.

Yeh I agree it was a professional foul and he should have seen red, although we seem to struggle to beat teams who have a player sin binned or sent off.

Fewer players are seeing red now and ref's are leaving things to the panel. I will be happy if he only gets a 1 game ban.

Really looking forward to the Magic Weekend tomorrow. As I want a decent drink and the trains are on strike tomorrow, I will need to make up to 3 bus journeys each way tomorrow. I've sent you a PM Ed!!

Well that was a shocker for Wigan. Wigan are becoming the Darlo of RL. You never know quite which Wigan side is going to turn up. brilliant one week and the next week with the same players very ordinary at best. Good to see Castleford get a win over Leeds, as I had to endure their smugness at the end of the Wigan game. Looked like some great crowds, does any body know the total attendance so far?

Sounds like Magic Weekend is likely to go ahead again next season, hopefully they'll pick St James Park again. Good to see the total attendance over the 2 days was over 63k, the highest since 2018.

Massive game tonight at St.Helens host Wigan. Not feeling too confident after last weeks Magic Weekend shambles, which will probably mean that Wigan will win. :D

Just got back from my hols and couldn't post whilst I was away, but what a gutsy Wigan performance after having a player sent off early on the game, managed to beat Warrington, to set up a game against Hull KR in the semi final.

Watched the Leigh v Hull KR game on TV last night. A real shocker for HKR, not sure if it was Leigh that were brilliant or HKR that were terrible or perhaps a bit of both. Also an amazing win for Wakefield at home to Salford, I think Castleford will be looking worriedly over their shoulders, as the gap between the two narrows.

A couple of massive games this weekend in the Challenge Cup.

First up St.Helens are at home to Leigh. Now normally this would be a no contest for St. Helens, but I'm pretty sure that Leign will be favourites to come out on top.

Then we have Wigan v Hull KR, this is likely to be close, but home advantage should help Wigan this one, although I'm sure somebody who posts on here will disagree.

So I'm going for a Wigan v boro derby at Wembley.

No comment other than when did Wigwam move to Leeds to play?
You can go to your home game. Most of the rest of us are heading for Headingley.

Sorry I didn't realise it was at Headingley. I'm working all day in the rain, so I'll have to watch on TV. Hope you don't enjoy the game too much.

I will settle for the same sort of game and result as our last Headingly semi in 2015.
Funny thing, overnight betting we were 12/5 and Wigwam 1/3. Exactly the same odds as against Warry.
I just hope we do put on a better display than 2 seasons ago v Udders.

We were robbed, it should have only been a yellow card and you're player was lucky to only get a yellow. You seemed to get the better of the close calls, but the result is all that matters. Good luck in the final, you'll need it as Leigh will start as firm favourites.

Now I know you actually know bugger all about the laws of the game.
Contact with the head is a card. Going in with a shoulder is a straight red.
You were lucky Misko did not get a red as well. The ref actually said, "Deliberate contact with the head with your shoulder. Dangerous play". There is no way on this earth he can say that and not give a card.
SKD was a professional foul so a card. Had your guy been in the position to score it WOULD have been Red, but as 2 defenders were closer to the ball the chances of him getting a try were poor, and when Thaler gives KR ANYTHING you can believe he tried to go the other way. I have said many times over he should not be involved in any KR match as he openly admits he hates the club.
All that said, what a game !!!!
Leigh will be the favourite in the final. They beat us at CP with a last minute's break away when we should have been out of sight but they kept on clawing it back, but they beat us convincingly at their place just the other week when we did not turn up. We had a makeshift side out, but the attitude was poor.
Anyway, tickets and hotel booked. Let's be "avin it"

Not sure what to say about last night's game. Everyone knows I have a soft spot for Cas and the jungle, but damn, they were God-awful.
The first few minutes were a good arm wrestle, but once we scored the first try, which never should have happened. (An offload with 4 players holding our lad), the game was never in doubt.
It was a bit like watching a KR v A Hull "select" side with 11 ex-KR and Dull players playing for Cas, but there the interest really stops.
You pulled 10 points back simply because our lot lost concentration it was so easy, but once we had been in the dressing room at half-time and had the hair dryer treatment it was simply a case of how many we would finish with.
Sorry Rob. I think you are in deep, deep trouble. Having beaten Wakey just 4 weeks ago I would say they are a far better side than Cas at the moment.
Our second trophy win of the season with the Dodgers trophy joining Sullys back in our boardroom. Hoping for a hat trick of wins in 2 weeks.

3 academy kids have already been told they will debut.

"The Next Generation 🙌
Hull KR are delighted to confirm Academy products, Lennie Ellis, Louix Gorman and Leo Tennison will all make their first team debuts this week against Wigan.

We have also signed 3 loan players specifically for this match

"Hull KR are pleased to announce the two-week loan signings of Luke Thomas, Isaac Shaw and César Rougé with immediate effect ahead of the Robins clash against Wigan Warriors this Friday.

A strong prop, Luke Thomas joins the Robins’ having made 6 appearances so far for Warrington Wolves alongside fellow forward, Issac Shaw who rejoined Wakefield Trinity earlier this season.

The young pair will bolster KR’s engine room while young Catalans Dragons’ utility back, César Rougé completes the trio of incoming faces."

I think Jordan Abdull is again on TV pundit work.
Have to say, it was great seeing Lachlan Coote still in the dressing room on Friday night singing Red Red Robin.

Did not see that 1 coming. Not sure Leeds can afford to lose him unless they have given up on the play off's.
I spoke to Donno at our semi-final and he did not think Leeds would be at all active before the window closes

Given up imho and Austin is out of contract at the end of the season and he’d spoken out of turn about the club. Shame, he’d had some great games recently. Tbf I don’t want Cas to go down

Well, we did not expect much with only 3 first-team players. None of them played after 50 minutes.
Wigwam certainly did not hold back and the only complaint was the last try with the last 2 passes clearly forward. Just hope that last 6 points does not cost us at the end of the season.
All in all a night to be proud of our kids.
I only wish it was on TV so you could have seen our fans. Just short of 1000 on a Friday night, and backed the kids from the first second to well after the 80 minutes. Hard to believe, but we actually out-noised the Wigwam fans.

On to Wembley

Castleford are in deep trouble as they get thumped and they don't even score against Huddersfield. They must be favourites to get relegated, sorry Rob. As Ed said we dominated against a very second string HKR, good on you for your support, but your chances of a top 2 have taken a dive. Wigan have a favourable run in, apart from our trip to Catalan. Good luck to HKR next weekend, but Leigh should start as firm favourites.
