What's wrong with Toronto being back next season? Surely the exceptional circumstances affecting everybody must be taken into account. They deserve their chance again next season.
How about players not paid since BEFORE the pandemic broke? Players rent not being paid so young children threatened with being thrown on the streets. Cars re-possessed. Players being thrown out of the country because the club did not sort out new visa's. Signing new players when you have not paid the ones you already have
How many more do you want?
Ps, remember, this comes from someone who has Championed them since they first joined our game.

Good performance by Wigan this afternoon, as they beat stubborn Castleford. The player production line at Wigan is immense, as they produce another gem in Havard, who's only 19.

I genuinely believe that we will all prosper if the game can expand into North America but having taken a lot of flack for backing them over the last 3 years I feel really let down by the news that has come out. Yes Covid has brought it to a head, but I fell for the chat hook line and sinker. They have set the game back years in my opinion and to allow them back will just make that worse. I can tell you that Hudgie has wanted away from the game for a while because he has felt he is banging his head on a brick wall with the RFL and this has just tipped him over the edge. When a top, top solicitor shakes his head and says I can't work with these people any longer it really should make us all sit up and think. Even Dull fans have been backing him so that tells you all you should need to know.

Thought both games were decent yesterday. Nothing brilliant, but decent games. Sadly there is an air of practice/pre-season about the games with no crowd in.

We are up today v Saints. Have not checked the bookies thoughts as yet, but I am sure the odds will be stupid enough that I will have to have a bob or 2 on us to win.

I also hope you pull off a shock, but I can't see it happening, but it would do us a favour if you beat them.

Well, we lost but I come away feeling hard done by.
Very poor start and 12 down we really turned it on to get back to 12-12 and could easily have been ahead at half time.

Saints coach now saying we were missing a couple, well we were missing the leagues top try scorer and a couple more.
Game turned on a bad call by the ref.
A kick by us was played into touch clearly by Grace's hand near their line but they got the throw and went the length of the field.
Quinlan has broken and dislocated his wrist and Brierly had to play in his position even though limping all the second half. Saints loose Farage. Hope he is OK.
Decent game with plenty to take from it.
Stats were very even.(Just seen them).

Just seen the highlights. You put up a spirited performance, but your defence seemed to let you down. But overall an improved performance, we'll see how you get on next week.

Here we go again.
A 4 day turnaround is not great when you are facing the league leaders but it is what it is as Tony Smith keeps on saying.
I am not sure the Wigwam pack is as mobile as Warry and Saints so it will be interesting to see how our throw the ball about game pans out against them.
As usual, no way can we take them on through the pack and middle. They will just roll over us.
In case you missed the news Quinlan's season is finished. That is a massive blow as we always look better when he plays. Such bad luck with injuries since he joined us.
Brierley too is missing as his ankle is a mess,(hearing 4-6 games out according to the Daily Fail, though the club have not confirmed this), and we have also "rested" 5 other players from last week. Some with knocks and some just to give others a run out.
Hoping Cas give us a helping hand v Salford. Still only 2 points behind them and Wakey who's game is off due to Covid. 4 points becomes a bit of a gap.
On we go.

I'll be watching the game tonight on TV, what would you consider to be an acceptable margin between the 2 sides? As far as days off between games it's swing & roundabouts. Hull KR may have more days off than their next opponents.

Keep it within 3 scores I will not over worry, so 18 points difference.
There have been some truly weird score lines since resumption with astronomical figures. Hope tonight is not 1 of those. We certainly have a better record at Headingly than Halliwell Jones
Surprised you did not comment on the link I put up.

Sorry didn't see the link, very interesting & encouraging. I hope they make it back, as the development of the game in North America is a natural expansion of the SL brand.
Congratulations on posting the 1000th reply to this thread!!!

Fuming at that second Wigan try Pete.
Things like that change games.
VERY poor from the ref to not at least send it upstairs.

Big smile.
Played the top 3 and not disgraced by any of them.
If you remember back at the pre season I said I thought we had good players if we could stay injury free.
You may not have enjoyed the result, but you must have enjoyed the way we played.

Poor result for us, but you did play well. Hopefully it'll be the kick up the backside we need.

Well done to HKR always like to see a Wigan defeat lol !
Cas back on the winning road in a very entertaining game, however think now we will be outside the top 4 unfortunately.

Interesting.
When you have read it click the link to the league table. It takes you to the fixture list and you have to press table again.
Makes interesting reading.

Not very good Wigan going from 2nd down 4th.

Don't fancy our chances down at Catalan, although they haven't played for a while, which might just give us a chance.

This years start to Super League has been awesome, maybe the best yet. Nice to see Cas and Widnes off to flyers, change from the norm. Leeds/Warrington, Huddersfield/Leeds and Widnes/Salford have been real crackers.
Bradford's ongoing owner woes and points deduction, the Good Doctor at Salford, London on their arse in every way, it ain't dull.
I also had a fiver (as I do every TV game I watch) on Hudds/Leeds draw at 25-1......

After Castleford lose unluckily against Warrington, it now looks like a 5 way battle for the all important top 4 places.

In far more important news. KR move up from 11th to 10th for 24 hours after Wakey drop below us by a points difference of -1.
Sadly we play Saints on their own grass tonight so we will possibly drop back again.

Small point
I get that they want to play games in safe environments but it seems to me a tad unfair that some clubs do get to play home games. So far Leeds could have played at Warry and Saints while Saints and Warry could have been playing at the other 2. This especially with the move to %ages, which in my opinion should have been discussed but kept under wraps until if and when the problem occurred, not implemented straight away.

Feeling totally gutted to have lost to Saints.
We were under the cosh for the first 20 much like last week but after that we at worst matched them.
Saints have now given away 8 tries since the restart and we have scored 6 of them. Not bad for the "whipping boys" of the league. Yet again for the second time in a couple of weeks they will be VERY happy to have walked away with the points from that.
Leeds in the cup and then in the league next up.
Would be really nice to have a game v a bottom half of the league at some point !!!!!

Being a Rhino's fan it's tough to watch but Leeds aren't good enough and have a lot of players missing but Cas (who also have players missing) are unstoppable!
The more I see them the more I'm convinced they are by far the best team in the league and great to watch too. They're in for not only a great season but a great 3 to 4 years.

Nop, while Rob will enjoy reading that Cas, who by the way beat us just pre lockdown, have not looked anywhere near as impressive as Saints who are by far the best side we have played.
I think perhaps you are discounting them because KR ran Saints close twice, but I am fully expecting us to start winning a few games and climb the league.

Will be interesting for the 2 of us as we face off twice in the next few days. My main thought on Leeds this season has been the best player in your pack has been Donno. I would be worried at that fact.
Please don't complain about players missing, over the last 2 seasons and the first few of this we AVERAGED 11 first choice players missing every game. Pete can confirm I actually posted the full list out at 1 point last season.

Yes you did. Well Wigan really do surprise me, coming off a thumping by Hull KR, it looked a nailed on further loss away at Catalan. But there you go what do I know about RL, as they blow away Catalan in a one sided game. Admittedly our first try shouldn't have been allowed with a forward pass, but after that we were really very good. I think Catalan not playing for 3 weeks helped us, but coming from the cool north-west into 30 degrees heat, must have been a heck off a shock to the system.

A bit annoying Pete. Wigan were on good form pre losing to KR. It seems everyone is saying sides are having a dip when they play us yet since lockdown all we have played is top of the league sides and only Warry have spanked us, and that when we started after everyone else and had our season even more disrupted by missing 2 games v Toronto.
I think a bit more credit should go to us rather than saying sides are playing poorly against us. OK you can play a top side once and have a fluke, but we really could have won all 4 with a little bit of luck, even the Warry game where we lost 20 points in the last 10 minutes when we had no changes for the second half because of injuries.

I agree Hull KR played very well & we played very badly. Recent weeks in the SL, just go to show that any side is capable on their day to beat any other side. The SL is very hard to predict this season. as no team is dominating proceedings at the moment.

Sad to see the way Simon Woolford has been treated by Udders. Another "mutual" decision. As anyone who reads this board often knows I have believed that they were the poorest side in SL for the last 3 seasons. I think he worked wonders just to keep them floating.

Pete, I see your lot have signed Brad Singleton from Toronto. While I do not blame the players for making sure they have a job I am slightly shocked with their future still to be settled that they are still letting players go. I don't see any they can build a side to be competitive in SL next year, unless of course we have no relegation again and unlike our coach, Tony Smith I do hope that does not happen. Maybe good for the SL sides but horrible for those in the leagues below.

Another weekend's games start, and I see Udders are 20 up at Wakey. KR are back off the bottom again !!!!

I didn't know about Brad Singleton joining us, so thanks for the heads up. With the exception of Brad Singleton, most of the Toronto players signing for other SL sides, have just signed to the end of this season, so I'd expect them to return to Toronto at the end of the season.

Hull KR are flying up the table, you'll be getting a nose bleed in such a lofty position, haha.
