Any one for a free lunch?

Post by Scully » Wed Feb 26, 2014 4:23 pm

Competition time!!!! Am giving away a three course Sunday Lunch for two people this Sunday 2nd March at my new Restaurant The Olive Tree @ The Countrymans Inn Hunton http://www.countrymansinn.co.uk/menu/sunday-lunch only 18 miles from Darlo town center.

Question is Alan Walsh is the Quakers all time leading scorer but who was his first goal against and who was his last goal against!

Tie breaker question!! What year was my first ever Darlington Game and who was it against!? Couple of clues....It cost 20p to get in!it was a pre season friendly and there manager also managed Derby Forrest and Leeds!!!

Winner will be drawn on Friday so get entering

Walsh's first goal was in a 4-0 win over Port Vale in October 1978. His last goal was on today's date in 1984, when he got two goals in a 5-3 win over Northampton.

As for your first game, I'm guessing it was against Brighton in 1973.

who was the manager out of interest?

The only one I had in mind with those teams was Clough, but couldn't imagine us playing 'Hartlepools' in a friendly!

Ah I didn't remember that. Although now you mention it I sort of recall that he falls out with Peter Taylor in Brighton in The Damned United.
