Grand National Game
A bit of fun ahead of the National this weekend.
All you need to do is pick your top 5 horses for the races. The person with the most points wins.
Points are awarded as follows:
1pt per every fence cleared.
However, if a horse falls, unseats or pulls up, they'll be deducted 30 points.
(So a faller at the 11th will get -20pts).
There are also bonus points for the top 5:
1st - 100pts
2nd - 75pts
3rd - 50pts
4th - 25pts
5th - 10pts
In addition, the horse you pick as your number one choice will receive double points. (So a winner will get 260 pts, but a faller at the first will get -60).
You can change your choices right up until the race starts.
I'll put up the results as soon as I can after the race.
Best of luck!

Re: Grand National Game
I'll go with 5 that I think have the best chance of getting round the 4 miles and clearing the Aintree fences. Not necessarily the ones I'll be putting money on though!
1) Burton Port
2) Teaforthree
3) Long Run
4) Tidal Bay
5) The Package

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

My four year old daughter picked the winner out of a hat for me.
Legally though, as she's underage I can't allow her to benefit from the winnings...

This sounds like a made-up story: horses don't fit in hats.TSQuaker wrote:My four year old daughter picked the winner out of a hat for me.

Re: Grand National Game
I make it a very poor 61 points for me!
Burton Port - 2 points (cleared one fence and points doubled)
Teaforthree - 14 points
Tidal Bay - 7 points
Long Run - 8 points
The Package - 30 points
So much for me picking horses that would make it round the course!
