Given the original article has allowed room for a "right of reply" from at least two of those estblishments, do you not think it appropriate to put them here as well?

Owner of The Green, Mr Ali, said, not wrote: "The shop is under new management. We have done everything the inspector has asked us to do since the last inspection.

We asked him to come out and he told us what to do to get a 5 star rating. Since then we have done everything.

We've applied for new ratings and waiting for them to come out and issues new ones. We welcome anyone from the public to come in and inspect our kitchen."
Owner of Uno Momento, Mustafa Babat said, not wrote: "We have had five stars for the last three years.

"At the time of the visit four stars were taken off because an employee, who is no longer with us, failed to fill in the necessary paperwork.

"When the head chef came back he requested a revisit by Environmental Health and everything that was requested was done and put back in place.

"We have nothing to hide concerning hygiene standards."

Mr Babat said he is confident a repeat inspection in August will bring a more positive result for his business

I see The Oak also replied. I must say I've never had any problem whatsoever in there.

Losing 4 stars for failing to fill in paperwork seems a bit extreme mind

I've watched the food inspectors programme and there are some absolute dumps that seems to get 1 and 2 stars. I mean there was a takeaway that had rat droppings everywhere but wasn't shut down because they were 'old' droppings!

At the same time I saw a french chef get a 1 star because he didn't cook something to 75 degrees. I can't remember what dish it was but apparantely higher temperatures wouldn't work for the recipe.

Found an article along these lines.
