Tunisia

Post by Darlo_Pete » Fri Jun 26, 2015 8:10 pm

I had the pleasure of going to Tunisia last September. What a wonderful country. It really saddens me to hear the news today of the terrorist attack today, when so many innocent people lost their lives. Unfortunately it will be the people of Tunisia that lose big time, as I can see very few tourists wanting to go now and they rely so much on tourism to keep their country running. I think the same will happen this year in Egypt as well.

News flash Pete- it happens every year in Egypt. The authorities handle things differently there though.

And yes Tunisia is a nice place even if you venture outside your holiday complex

Dozens of tourists are gunned down by a madman on the beach every year in Egypt?! Bloody hell.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Lot's of people have been killed in Egypt by terrorism, but generally not westerners. So to compare what happened in Tunisia with Egypt is misleading.

I think there will definitely be a major terrorist attack in Britain, it's not a question of if, but when. We are too big a target.

I'm sure I stayed somewhere on that strip about a decade ago too.

I wasn't far from the scene of that attack last September.

Just heard that a girl at work say, that her young daughter was in the hotel where the attack took place and left only 3 days before the attack.

My sisters mate stayed at the same place last year and a woman I talk to in the Chemist every day came home for Port al-Kantaoui about a week before.

Looks like Tunisia could be face a lot of trouble now the FCO have advised against travel there
