Yep got to agree the Bridge is excellent, the Scandinavians seem to bring out some fantastic dramas.

Really enjoying Beck on BBC4, which you should be able to get on the BBCi player and great news that season 3 of True Detective will be coming to our screens in 2019.

Das Boot and True Detective (series 3) are superb.
Berlin is worth a watch too.
Also Trapped (Icelandic), series two started a few weeks ago; series one was very good

I agree about Das Boot, but I've been underwhelmed by this series of True Detective up to now. Yes Trapped is excellent, unfortunately I never saw the first series.
Really like Baptiste as well.

Found a TV programme on All 4, called Bad Banks which is extremely good, if you can deal with subtitles.

Great to see a new series of Berlin Station starts on Thursday on More 4, if it's as half as good as the first series, then it will be excellent.

Follow the money second series is absolutely brilliant, no idea what is going to happen.
Re: What do you like on TV at the moment?
I watch some history channel and the like but mainstream TV leaves me cold now with all the "reality" crap.
Whatever happened to good old fashioned simple no violence, easy to watch TV?

There are plenty of good programmes on TV, I guess it depends on what your tastes are.
Re: What do you like on TV at the moment?
I'd recommend Deutschland 86 (and the first series Deutschland 83) if you're not already watching it. I'll be bereft when it finishes in a few weeks.

I've never seen them, but heard good things. I'll give them a go. Thanks. The first episode of the second series of Berlin Station was great.

The new series The Looming Tower was excellent on BBC 2.

I’ve only flicked through this thread but no-one appears to have mentioned Billions . . .

Re: What do you like on TV at the moment?
Watched the new Sky series Cobra. Thought it was excellent, but a bit strange that plane landed on the A1 North of Newton Aycliffe on a 3 lane motorway. It must be set in the future, haha.

The Beautiful Game - on Netlix now.
It's sort of Downton Abbey for football fans. Telling how the first rounds of the F.A Cup played out. It's all a bit cliched and over done but interesting none the less.
Eton (School) are top dogs. They also have influence with the F.A. or probably are the F.A. Meanwhile up north in Darwin Lancs they have a team too - and there's "trouble at mill" WAGS, poverty and dodgy transfers.
It made me chuckle last night when Darlington were pulled out of the hat as Eton's next opponents.
Posh accent 1 "Darlington? Another mill town up North?"
Posh accent 2 "No they are a new team, just formed this year along with another 142 registrations. Darlington is famous for railways and engineering not for mills"
