Least Favourite Crimbo Songs

Post by grytters » Mon Dec 14, 2009 5:54 pm

(Seeing as the [o/t] forum is no longer read only)

In traditional "reverse order"

3. Just about anything from Sir Clifford of Webb's Yuletide ouevre

But I'm going to opt for Mistletoe and Wine.

2. McCartney: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6o8-eLZhrOA appalling tuneless and sentimental drek of the highest kidney

But trumped into oblivion by these two double-headers.

1. Little Drummer Boy: And what a choice we've got here.

Practically inseperable in lack of any discernable musical talent, wit, sparkle or enjoyment. Both played on an endless loop in some version of Hell.

Feel the inner glow of heartburn or stomach acid as you watch four separate pairs of cold, dead eyes parrot meaningless empty platitudes to the camera.

Wogan / Jones probably a bigger insult to the intelligence, but the fact that Bowie and Crosby do/did this for a living should have resulted in them being stripped of their epaulettes and drummed out of the union.

There's a horrible rumour about that song involving Myra Hindley but I'm yet to read conclusive proof on it.
