Favourite other sports

What other team sports do you enjoy watching and what teams do you follow?

For me it's ice hockey, mainly NHL, and I follow the Toronto Maple Leafs. Been to 5 Leafs games in Toronto and New Jersey (W3 L2), also seen a game in Fort Lauderdale, Florida v Tampa Bay. Other than that it's TV or internet coverage at daft o clock in the morning.

Also watch rugby (union) or cricket but only when England are playing. Never been to a rugby match but went to an England v Pakistan at Leeds a few years ago.

Baseball is rounders with big bats. American football is men in camp tights, excessive padding, and involves shouting, throwing a ball, catching, running for 10 yards, then having another hot dog break, 3 hours later it's all over. Basketball is netball for tall people and ends up with a score of 98-93 every game.

Football will always be number one though.

Football will always be number one.

But I also love American Football (although the above description is fairly amusing!) And have been to a few games in the states, along with all the games played at Wembley.

Big Rugby League fan too. Got into it when I worked in Australia. Very high standard of play in their NRL compared to our Super League.

Thats about it really. Ill watch F1 if its on, but I dont have a favourite driver/team, Just cheer on the Brits!

Thank god, for your sake, that being able to spell badminton isn't a prerequisite for playing it.

Boxing for me. It's slowly becoming my number one sport though because I am just pig sick with football in general really. Bunch of cunts the lot of them.

Tennis and F1 for me. I also watch England rugby and cricket matches, but not really an avid follower.

I love watching sport on TV, my favourite sports and teams are:-

American Football----Green Bay Packers
Rugby League-------Wigan
Baseball--------------Cincinnati Reds
Ice Hockey------------Ottawa Senators
Basketball------------Orlando Magic & Portland Trailblazers
College Football-------Wisconsin, Cincinnati & UCF.
Cricket----------------Kent

However, despite all of the above my favourite sport to play and watch on TV is ski-ing.

Snooker for me. Whether you call it a sport or a game is up to you, but the top players make a game of extreme difficulty look so easy! Ronnie O'Sullivan's 147 in 5 mins 20 secs would have totally incomprehensible had I not actually seen in happen! Not just genius, it was bordering on a miracle.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion!

Football tops the bill but I also love watching cricket - England and Durham (and now the South Australia Redbacks).
Also love rugby union - England and Darlo - not Mowden Park as they play in chimpy blue and white.
Don't mind American football - New England Patriots and for the last 2 nights been to the velodrome in Adelaide to watch the Aussie championships and qualification for the Commonwealth Games and that was great viewing.

I follow a few other sports on and off, but I wouldn't say I have anything more than a passing interest in them.

I tend to watch the tennis at Wimbledon, but I'm not bothered about it the rest of the time (unless a British player is doing well - eg. Australian Open the other week).

I get interested in cricket whenever the Ashes come around, but don't really follow it much otherwise. Sometimes I'll get into other test series, sometimes I won't.

A couple of my mates at uni are into ice hockey and follow the Calgary Flames, so I've picked up a passing interest in the NHL over the last couple of years but don't really know a lot about it. My local team in Salzburg are supposed to be quite good (as Austrian hockey goes), so I'm hoping to get to a game before the season finishes.

My wife would tell you that I will sit and watch any sport, as long as it doesn't involve horses, mainly though it would be the NFL, where I follow the Jets, but enjoy watching the game whoever is playing, also NBA, when the Celtics are playing. Can't get away with baseball, it's just rounders for stats freaks.
Also cricket and Rugby when England are playing.
