TROPHY FEVER HITS DARLO AS WEMBLEY STOCK COMES IN!

Darlington have this week taken delivery of an exciting new range of FA Trophy Final gear.

Quakers are getting geared up for the FA Trophy Final against Mansfield Town at Wembley on Saturday May 7.

And the club now have a range of new items of sale, from wigs to jester hats, t-shirts to polo shirts.

Home and away replica shirts, embroidered with ‘FA Trophy Final Wembley 2011’ on them, are available for £36.

Black and white polo shirts, also specially-embroidered for the big day, are priced just £18, while a smart black golfing shirt is priced £25.

Wembley t-shirts are available for just £10, while there are also jester hats (£7), wigs (£6) and horns (£4).

All the new items are available from the club shop now and from the main reception weekdays.

They’ll also be available from Sainsbury’s, on Grange Road, between 11am and 4pm weekdays, starting from Monday April 18.

Darlington are also due to take stock of specially-made scarves for the final, as well as flags and pin-badges.

Full details will be released when the items are in stock.

- will put photos on site tonight after I get in from football

One away shirt and scarf for me, I think. The girlfriend squealed with delight knowing wigs were available!

I'm taking my boys along early on Saturday. It's going to be painful on the wallet I think.

I'm sure Mrs Quatermain would love an early birthday present. Wouldn't she?

From what I''ve read you have to buy 2 sizes extra to get the right size, what's that all about.

I have contacted the club to clarify the sizing of the shirts/tops I'd like to buy but they haven't responded and that was 2 weeks ago.

I was all set to buy 3 polo shirts and 4 home shirts. The club don't seem iterested enough to help with my purchase.

Guess you shirt size, and hope its right, no thanks.

Yep, go 2 sizes up and you won't go wrong. I don't know if its the same problem with the polo shirts.

I shouldn't think so (but don't quote me on that). The reason why the replica shirts are 2 sizes up is because of the 'slim fit' that they come in. I would think the polo shirts / golf shirts are completely different i.e. normal.

I wonder if people would buy those flags that you put in your back windows of the car , you know the ones England fans put on every World Cup ? A little market stall on a Saturday would be a big hit in my opinion .

I'll be needing a new Darlo hat after some scummy little scrote grabbed mine when he ran onto the pitch at Gateshead. C*nt.

Have you ever thought that DFC is going to Wembley and perhaps the very small number of staff at the club are rushed off their feet?

Just a thought......

have you ever thought that they should have thought about this and either hired more staff or even easier, told everyone about the fitting issues....i agree with b_little, if they expect ppl to spend their money to boost the clubs coffers, they should have sorted this out a long time ago

You could always just ask the girls behind the desk, I'm sure they'll be glad to help you. Remember the manufacturer's make the merchandise, it has nothing to do with the club

They are telling everyone who asks about the new 'slim fit' shirt, so there's no problem there. Picked my shirt up earlier - they only go up to XXL in the golf shirts and they're the same 'slim fit' as the replica shirts.

Does anyone know what sort of mark-up there is on this stuff - or to put it another way-how much does the club make from it?
