10,000 possible?

Post by dfc-hardy » Tue May 03, 2011 1:16 pm

does anybody think we will reach 10,000 ticket sales come friday 5pm? i think a few more will deffo buy tickets and because they are starting to sell them from the ground alot more people will find it easier to just do that and no they have there tickets.

Unfortunately I dont think we'll get anywhere near. 8'750 is probably the best we can realistically expect at this point IMO.

We'd need 1800 tickets sold in 3 days, were never going to sell 600 a day, the average has been 100 per day, we'll finish with about 8500 fans travelling which is pretty decent, Mansfield may of shipped 4000 more but then there half the distance, time etc plus they havent been to Wembley in about 27 years add to the fact they've went and advertised it an awful lot better than we have

Im guessing most fans would have read or heard about ticketmasters failure and therefore waited until Wednesday to buy the tickets from the club, so hopefully there might be a big rush.

I wouldn't say 10,000 is completely out the question but i'd say about 9,000 is more realistic.

Add to the fact that the club only have tickets for block 115 which is already amber, unless theres something like 1200-1400 tickets are sold in the next 2 hours there wont be enough avaiable tickets to hit anywhere near 9500-10000

Hopefully thats a lie to make the fans worry and buy the tickets faster.

If not i imagine alot of fans will be fucked becuase they will be relying on buying the tickets from the ground.

I really hope the club have other tickets available. I have no idea what the demand from the club will be like for tickets, but it'd be stupid if 115 sells out and the club can't sell anymore because they haven't got any other tickets.

Cant understand why they've only been given tickets for the remainder of 115 when 114 is still green, surely it would of made sense to make all these available

Where does it say that they have only been given block 115?

I think the more likely figure will be around 8,700 , if we sell a couple of hundred before the deadline plus the 300 that are available from the club . I still think its a fairly decent amount all things considered .

I think, realistically, that we can say 8,200 by COB tonight.

Assuming the average daily rate we've been getting online, if we get that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, a realistic total would be 8,600. To be fair, a week ago I thought we might even struggle to 8,000, so 8,600 would be a result and a decent total. It's just a shame that Mansfield have sold many more than us, makes our total look worse than what it really is.

The next problem is, if we only have block 115 then if we get to 8,500 then we'll sell out! I wonder if the club can also get the remaining tickets in 113 and 114? Or for 116? I bloody hope so.

Assuming no ticket supply issues, I say...

COB Today - 8,200

Friday 5pm - 8,600 realistically, optimistically with good last minute press 9,000, very unlikely with an unexpected rush 9,500, and for 10,000 we need a miracle.

I suppose if we did get 9,500 (extremely unlikely) Martin Walker could always lie and tell us 10,000 because nobody would know the difference.
