'Darlington Football Club: Deal has not been sealed but there's continuing progress behind the scenes. Can't go into details tonight...' Not just yet.

It's still positive news.

Hopefully it doesn't involve playing a meaningless friendly.

Hope he is right, but...we were told there was great optimism last Tuesday night - and then came Wednesday

Would this seem to suggest that we're leaning back towards the single owner scenario?

my concern is that this new interest is the frontrunner....what was up with the other options that those who are working so hard to secure this club have been counting on...i say counting on because with the clock ticking down there doesn't seem to have been a huge push for pledges or much of anything realy.( i know alots going on but £500K is a hellova collection)

spot on - it will go back to same old same old after a while -whats happened over the last few weeks has brought the football fans back together - we want our club back.

It's rumoured a 60/40 split with DFCRG on another thread so hopefully won't be as bad as that.

Once again people are putting 2 & 2 together, instead of waiting for an official announcement.

True, no point getting philosophical until we've seen the deal.

No, not you.

You actually asked a question, which was fair enough.

All I'm saying is can we all just wait and see what, if any, the announcement will be.

Once we have more details, we can then debate etc...
