Corner flags

Post by jazzydfc » Fri Aug 24, 2012 6:57 am

I realise this is just a small thing but I noticed on Tuesday that the corner flags had Bishop colours on them, can't we have our own when we're at home?

Don't we have better things to spend our money on just now though?

How much do they cost? Maybe a sponsor could buy some fort the club?

can't see it costing more than a couple of quid for material unless you want a club crest on it, maybe loan star may be able to print it up cheaply......or an iron on transfer

Why not ask for the flags at the arena and fly them at HP when we're at home?

Speaking of flags, I did wonder what happened to the large black and white hooped flag with the club crest on that flew outside the area. If it was rescued by anyone it would be nice to see it used at HP.

Does it matter what flavour crisps you eat?

Ask the crisp man from the open meetings!

Yes it does matter as on a match day HP is ours so if the commercial teams are trying to impress potential sponsors then having stuff in OUR colours counts!

I've ordered 6 black and white flags and they will be sent to Scott at Heritage Park. If we don't have corner posts (I learnt something new today!) please get back to me.

What the fuck has crisps got to do with anything??? And I seriuosly doubt any potential investers/sponsors will give a crap what colour a bloody corner flag is.

Oh and btw I don't know if you've noticed but the seats in the main stand are blue, which are Bishops colours, do you suggest we paint them black and white every week, our club colours count after all, don't they?

Tim really?

If I was going to bung some money into a business I would want to see their corporate branding otherwise I'd be thinking just what am I getting for my money!

It's not hard to understand.

Well actually it obviously is!!!!!

Regardless of branding, anything we can buy/scrounge now will only mean its cheaper when we eventually come back to the town

Good bit of initiative and rather than just talk about it good on dontbuythesun for getting them ordered.

It's a corner Flag for christs sake. So basically what you are saying, is that if you were a buisnessman and wanted to put money into a football club, and then you noticed that the corners flags were tottaly different colours to the club colours, you wouldn't invest money due to that one simple thing?????

I can see both sides of the argument, yes, I think would be better of we had Corner Flags in our own colours, but right now, I could not give a monkeys fuck what colour, they could by skybluepink with bright polka dots for all I care, it is only 4 bits of material on 4 poles in 4 corners of the pitch.

Although I was once led to believe that corner flags had to be in the home team colours, guess I was wrong
