Me too! I guess the lads will have to make the long journey down on the morning, I doubt players job commitments and our budget could cover a hotel Friday night!?

This is ideal - I'm seeing friends down the road in Hitchin that evening!

Round the corner....fooking get in! The least i can do is go to the local ones....makes a change not to have to get up at 0440 to get to league games!!

for anyone that knows lower league football...

They have ex Luton midfielder Matthew Spring as asst manager (presume still playing) and Paul Bostock (ex Rushden keeper)

Think it's near Cambridge. Tough draw but am still confident and it could have been worse

When is this scheduled? We have been drawn at Home in the tin pot on 22nd Nov when you guys were due to be at home in the league. Looks like some re-jigging is in order but not sure if Tin pot takes precedent over league....

The FA Cup didn't take precedent last season so no reason to thin the Vase would.

You guys will play Friday night but to be quite truthful I would be happy to swap and play Clitheroe on the Friday night but can't see it happening with the leagues.

Ah, Hitchin. Home of the black squirrel. And birthplace of our very own Liam Hatch (and Drewe Broughton).

They may well be third in their league, but their goals against total should give us some optimism.

26 goals shipped in so far.

They were pre-season favourites because of their big spending during the summer. Leaders Poole came a cropper a couple of weeks ago at their ground ... this their only defeat, I think. Tough game but a great challenge for our players. Long way to go but it'll make a nice change from trekking over the M62. Looking forward to it ....

Well I certainly didn't expect that given the possibilities. Seems as though 1 club has been shifted from the Southern section to the Northern to make an equal number of ties and we drew the unfortunate straw of having the longest trip you could possibly get.
From recent years I didn't expect the Midlands clubs to become part of the North East/West section but it seems as though the FA have other ideas this season.

Still, it's somewhere different, looks a nice ground too, I'll be making the trip somehow

The FA always have ideas when we are involved. We get a long trip. 6th away tie in a row for the FA trophy, bit harsh

Good evening gentlemen,
Just to let you know that St Neots Town FC ground is right next to (100 yards away from St Neots railway station), which is situated on the Edinburgh - Kings Cross line (change at Peterborough, which is 20 mins). Train journey in total about 2.5hrs. We have two big bars which can accommodate a reasonable number. There are also a good few pubs in the town centre about 1.5 miles away. Maybe if you look early enough, you'd be able to get reasonably priced rail tickets via east coast? It would be great to welcome all those that are able to travel to us. Looking forward to the tie very much, should be a good game......
