Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
I'm not... Nothing to be made from this... FA Cup would be different... Too many games, despite the fact we're playing the reserves
Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
I hope we're not flouting the rules here re number of first-teamers?

Woohoo! job done.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

I hope Purewal came thru it ok, first game back must of been a bit nerve racking for the lad.
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. The image on the right will be constantly updated with the latest total so please feel free to use the image link below the thermometer on your own signatures, blogs, websites, etc. | Image link: http://www.mydarlo.co.uk/img/BTD-therm-350x100.jpg |

Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
Oh well we can concentrate on the league now.
Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
Went to the game last night. Wasn't a bad game to be fair - both teams played like they wanted to win it, even if the message was to take it steady (if that makes sense). Ossett made the better chances - we did well to get the ball in and around the box but rarely troubled their keeper. Amar looked good, showed some good signs of making his usual runs and cutting in/out. Held the ball up well but didn't have a great deal of support. He came off after about 60mins.
Martin Gray was there, but watching from the stands.

Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
Attendance: 119. Presumably that's the lowest crowd that will watch Darlo this season?
Workington had to travel 140 miles to their game at Marine, which I assume they threw (losing 3-2) so that's another absurdity.

Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
To me, if we didn't have so many games to play it would have been nice to try and win this with half the youth and half the first team but league comes first
Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
I am, for the first time, happy Darlo lost a game.
Whilst it is a shame we wont be winning the inter two bob mickey mouse piss pot non league family special cup for special people I would prefer we concentrate on the league.
WTF is a Doodson anyway?
