first home game at Blackwell
first home game at Blackwell
Several people asking how to get match tickets for this game, I have said the only sure way is to become a supporters group member, as it's sure to be close to a sell out.

which game is it likely to be, anyone know?
Re: first home game at Blackwell
First home game of next season. We are into October now so I find it highly unlikely that we will have the ground ready this season. Take into account it will have to pass all the safety inspections which may take time to sort out. I don't even know if they've started the car park and exit road yet.

If we don't hit 31st March then we will be relegated back to the Evostik I believe.quakerste wrote:First home game of next season. It will be ready for this season. Steel to go up for tin shed this month, foundations for changes to the club house ongoing already.
Work has started until work completely stops let's have a bit of faith.

Try telling that to Whitehawk or Salford.super_les_mcjannet wrote:If we don't hit 31st March then we will be relegated back to the Evostik I believe.
Concrete will now have set to allow the structure to be built (as above). This is scheduled for the first two weeks of October. It doesn't take long to put up Meccano. Everything is pre fabricated offsite. It's just a case of bolting it together.
After this, the contractors can lay the paths/flat standing and start on the turnstiles/toilets etc.
The time will be lost on the changing rooms. Not on the ground itself. And I have no idea how long it'll take to construct the additional car park. It wasn't too long at Bish for car park C.

But you'll still take a stab at predicting when we'll have it finished.quakerste wrote:I don't even know if they've started the car park and exit road yet.

The photos on the DFCSG website show steady progress. I'm pretty sure that the groundwork is the slow stuff and that looks about done. I remember going home from work on a Friday and there was a McDonald's near my work on the Monday! If only it was that easy. The doubters have been proved wrong before. I don't think gramps is a troll he's just forthright in his views!!!!

I am sure we will have some things that cause issues but everything is currently heading in the expected direction and hopefully the work will hit the boards planned target dates.

It was a mild ribbing at a couple of people's comments. No need to be so sensitive.
Re: first home game at Blackwell
The target is the Salford game apparently, but will be dependent on weather etc.
Would be incredible if so.

Was what they're going to do for segregation discussed at the fan forum?
I assume until something is built behind that other goal, they'll just be given hard standing at that end of the ground?

They took 358 to their local away game against Stockport..HarrytheQuaker wrote:1000 tickets for Sal£ord then!!!!H1987 wrote:The target is the Salford game apparently, but will be dependent on weather etc.

Cant see them wanting any more than about 75 tickets. But I still think it will be a sell out as it will have a lot of local interest being the first ever game there..
Hope so anyway.

Re: first home game at Blackwell
Wikipedia already has us playing at Blackwell! Thought the hard standing was reasonably okay at FC united given there were hundreds of us there

Wasn't the hard standing at FCUM covered, it'll be a bit different at BM.don'tbuythesun wrote:Wikipedia already has us playing at Blackwell! Thought the hard standing was reasonably okay at FC united given there were hundreds of us there
