Cup games are "one offs" so should be performance related.................if you don't win you don't get paid!

Don't quite know how we're losing. We're average. But been the better side for the most part.

Need to be sharper up front. Still feeling confident.

What's up with the Crosby Comprehensive School outing?

Need to up the tempo today, really do waiting for things to happen instead of trying to make it happen.

If we lose, maybe the players and coaching staff can have a whip round and raise the £4000 we've lost out on. That stadium isn't going to build itself!

Cannot comment on the performance as I was not there......but I can comment on the result which was poor against lower league opposition. Something needs fixing quick when your leading scorer is a full back, even if he does take the penalties.

We were very poor again today. Far too many long balls to Beck and we don't seem to be able to play the ball along the ground anymore. Apart from Thomo's wonderful shot, the game was instantly forgettable. We can't play any worse than that in the replay.

Hell's bells, if there's one thing that game wasn't it was dull. We should have had 10, poor finishing and bad luck stopped us.
What a set of classless cheats they were.

Forgettable my arse.

Only you could describe a game with 4 goals, 2 disallowed goals, missed pen, woodwork hit 3 times, sending off, loads of booking and loads of other talking points as forgettable. Jesus wept.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Well the people around where I stood in the tinshed, all thought we were poor, I guess it's all about opinions.

Give Marine some credit, whilst it certainly wasn't pretty to watch they closed us down at every opportunity and didn't give Turnbull in particular any time on the ball. Their "gamesmanship" was very close to the line but as the underdog you have to try every trick in the book. The ref probably should have got to grips with this but you can't blame Marine if they're not being punished.

They certainly affected the flow of the game, particularly in the closing stages which made it difficult for us to find any rhythm, that said we still created enough good chances to win 5 games today but paid the price for a lack of composure at critical times.

A few weeks ago everything that we tried went in, in the last few games the clinical edge has deserted us. No real cause for concern, it'll click again.

It's a step forward, at least we didn't get knocked out!

As David Moyes said about Sunderland, The opposition aint there to please the home crowd, Marine came to go through or atleast claim a replay, they got the replay, its upto us now to go down there and get a win

It was another game in which too many were below par. We gave the ball away too easily, missed chances and they were a horrible, niggly, time-wasting mob who used every trick in the book. I think they maybe had three chances and scored from two. The new keeper didn't have a lot to do but he did flap at a couple of balls into the six-yard box in the first half when our defence looked a bit hesitant. His distribution looked OK but maybe not the most commanding in the area.
It will no doubt be a horrible pitch in the replay, they'll be fired up and no doubt kick lumps out of anything that moves. It won't be for the faint-hearted.
