travel advice - A1 roadworks

Post by biccynana » Tue Nov 29, 2016 8:47 am

hi all,

am visiting the area soon and have got to get an X26 or X27 from Darlington to Richmond on a Friday, and must be in Richmond by 3.30pm. The last time I did that journey (a year or so ago) the A1 was absolute chaos because of roadworks. The bus joins the A1 at Low Merrybent and comes off at Scotch Corner - are there still roadworks on that stretch? I can't seem to get a straight answer from the internet!

Thanks in advance.

Yes the roadworks are still there until next Spring, between the Barton turn off and Scotch Corner. I doubt that the roadworks would delay the bus by more than a few minutes.
