Salford v Darlington all-ticket

Post by Darlo_Pete » Wed Apr 12, 2017 9:58 am

It comes as no surprise that the above game has been made all ticket. What does come as a surprise is that they've given us 600 tickets and it looks like they are only charging us £7.

League rules Pete, 10% of capacity or 600 minimum.

It is a surprise as it's usually about £12 or more. It was £20 at Tranmere.

Can I suggest we all boycott this game? Why give these b*****s any of our hard earned cash? Better giving £7 towards our ground improvement or even buying some 50/50 or lottery tickets.

Don't think that will happen, although we might not take all 600 tickets on offer, which will be more due to fans being disgruntled that we are to be excluded from the play-offs, than a deliberate boycott of the game.

I'd be surprised if we take 100 now.

10 reasons why you should go to the Salford game:

1. It beats mowing the lawn
2. It's better than being dragged round the shops
3. You're not one of those 'fair weather fans' are you?
4. You'd be gutted if you missed another thriller like last season
5. Martin & the lads have busted guts this season; time to do the same
6. You could see Salford pushed down to 7th
7. Fresh air & exercising your lungs singing Darlo chants is good for your well being
8. It's cheap & cheerful (use the supporters' bus or car share)
9. We have a point to prove - we can win on the pitch even if we can't win an appeal
10. You'll have the pleasure of meeting me - Provided I can get a ticket!
If I were a stick of rock, no prizes for what would be written all the way through .....

11 would be funny as feck to see gary neville's face after cartman hits the winner to deny them a playoff place in the 90th minute. Be there.

1. No
2. Yes
3. No
4. Yes
5. No
6. Yes
7. No fresh air in Salford & I can shout to mixlr radio
8. No & no
9. Yes
10. No, but I will sell you if I get my ticket as a season ticket holder then I will give the dosh to the fund to improve BM

No vote gets it. DFC get my dosh not Salford. ;)

I hope we have a lot there just to sing their hearts out for the lads one last time this season. Bark at the door!

That, and what LoidLucan said. Does anyone think Gary Neville will still be saying "Let them play" if it meant they themselves missed the play-offs? They still would anyway if Chorley and Stockport get the right results. Even Brackley could sneak in there too.

We could deal the final hammer blow to Salford's promotion hopes. I think it'd be worth going to the match just on the off-chance that we leave them all in tears.

I think the likelihood of keeping out of the play-offs will motivate fans to make the trip over.

Yesterday's good turnout after a dreadful week suggested to me that we'll take a decent following to Salford. And I think the players will be fired up to put on a show.

I think fans like going to watch us play because they enjoy it.

Making a weekend of it in Manchester, so me and 2 others will be there.

Lads deserve our support after a great season.

Did you miss a word, Pete? "keeping *Salford* out of the play offs" perhaps?
