Us and them
This forum was a much nicer read when I replaced all the instances of "they" with "we" and "them" with "us" just now.

Re: Us and them
I like this ,very astute, if that's the right word.
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. The image on the right will be constantly updated with the latest total so please feel free to use the image link below the thermometer on your own signatures, blogs, websites, etc. | Image link: http://www.mydarlo.co.uk/img/BTD-therm-350x100.jpg |

I spent the rest of the day thinking about the People's Front of Judea when he wrote thatjjljks wrote:Have taken the liberty of editing your comment as follows:-darlo reborn wrote:No extraordinary men

Re: Us and them
Agree.
If for example, Martin Gray has said 'we' have been asked to reduce costs by £85k rather than 'they have told us' it would have been more appropriate.

Re: Us and them
But in fairness it surely was a point of the board telling him. Because it certainly shouldn't have been "MG would you mind reducing the budget by 85k?"Rufusuk wrote:Agree.

The next thing that worries me is how big is our budget at this level if we are taking a 85k cut.?

Re: Us and them
The point of the thread was more some of our fans attitudes towards their fellow fans, really. MG has a different relationship with the club, that of employee/employer.
Re: Us and them
"MG has a different relationship with the club, that of employee/employer."
It would be a curious relationship whereby (within a major meeting) an employee stood up and described a completely different vision for the company than the one held by the employers. Also, not sharing any of those 'thoughts' with the employer beforehand and in private, is a strange example of the employee / employer relationship.

Probably because we think MG is Jesus. (And he isn't, he's a really naughty boy!)Rufusuk wrote:"MG has a different relationship with the club, that of employee/employer."
