Re: Video Ref
I don't think it was a sending off, so not only did it take far too long to make a decision, they got it wrong! Having said that, I am in favour of VAR but it needs some work.

See, I thought it was a red card, but this shows that VAR isn't going to remove controversy, as many decisions in football are subjective!
I think the fundamental idea is good but it certainly needs refining and speeding up.

It didn't look like a penalty to me, they didn't have the right angle to get a clear view. Still it was argie and they haven't forgotten that we own the Malvinas!

Penalty? It was a little bit out if the areaal_quaker wrote:See, I thought it was a red card, but this shows that VAR isn't going to remove controversy, as many decisions in football are subjective!

Because it wasn't, happened on the touchline in midfield...Darlo_Pete wrote:It didn't look like a penalty to me, they didn't have the right angle to get a clear view. Still it was argie and they haven't forgotten that we own the Malvinas!
Definately a red for me, but the VAR system needs some work doing if it is to ever be fully implemented

So it has or is being used in a number of friendlies, u20s internationals, u21s internationals and the Confederations cup.
How is everyone finding it?

It's a barrel of bollocks designed to fit more ads into the television coverage. Totally needless, and won't make a blind bit of difference to controversies because 90% of fans and 99.999999% of pundits don't know the rules.
