North Ferriby United
North Ferriby United
Issued with winding up order. They've got two months to fight it off otherwise they go under. Wonder if they'll see out the season.
Re: North Ferriby United
Maybe a mass turnout by DAFTS next week could save them? Could be a last chance to visit their ground (near Hull, so not that much further than York).LoidLucan wrote:Issued with winding up order. They've got two months to fight it off otherwise they go under. Wonder if they'll see out the season.
Just shows how precarious National League football can be......

What would happen to any points gained/lost ?
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. The image on the right will be constantly updated with the latest total so please feel free to use the image link below the thermometer on your own signatures, blogs, websites, etc. | Image link: http://www.mydarlo.co.uk/img/BTD-therm-350x100.jpg |

The usual process is that they are expungedpoppyfield wrote:What would happen to any points gained/lost ?
Re: North Ferriby United
No they haven't. They were issued with a document that the company had not filed their accounts on time. This was an admin error and has now been done. Nothing to see hereLoidLucan wrote:Issued with winding up order. They've got two months to fight it off otherwise they go under. Wonder if they'll see out the season.

Re: North Ferriby United
After a quick look on Google Maps, there doesn't seem to be many boozers in North Ferriby.
Might a case of ringing them before hand and asking?
Duke of Cumberland - 01482 631592
Swan & Cynget - 01482 634571

Re: North Ferriby United
I have been to North Ferriby's ground a few times to watch them play as I live local. I know there is a bar at the ground in which there are TV screens. I would not be able to say if the football will be shown, although when I have been previously football was shown live in the pub.
North Ferriby itself is a very small village with only one or two pubs which are already mentioned on this feed.
In regards to parking, the clubs car park is very small.
Hope this helps.

Thanks.Just rang North Ferriby Social Club (on Low Street) who said they have the match on.Not far from the ground too.Have to join (its a quid) but happy with that as think the next best bet is Swanland.Quakerrunner wrote:I have been to North Ferriby's ground a few times to watch them play as I live local. Looks like all you need now is 6 points and an early train for the ale trail all the way to Batley!

Re: North Ferriby United
Have they just found some form and 3 points may be more difficult for us?

Re: North Ferriby United
Ferriby have lost pretty much all their players from last year and so I think apart from two or three of their players who have stayed around, the majority of their team is new. So they maybe are starting to gel.

They won 1-0 at Blyth last week, so they shouldn't be underestimated, today will be tough.jjljks wrote:Have they just found some form and 3 points may be more difficult for us?

Unfortunately all too true and their keeper was Man of the Match (typical)Darlo_Pete wrote:They won 1-0 at Blyth last week, so they shouldn't be underestimated, today will be tough.jjljks wrote:Have they just found some form and 3 points may be more difficult for us?

Met Slutsky the current Hull ex CSKA (Champs League ) manager at Brough station.Couple of Hull fans asked him to call a mate whos a massive Hull fan and he did.Was good to see someone at that level who wasnt so far up his own arse that he could take time for fans.

Re: North Ferriby United
That's brilliant. Really annoys me when they can't sign autographs for the fans on £120,000 a week. Probably takes those fans 6 years or more to earn.
