Nathan Cartman in the Echo

suggests the ball may spend more time on the floor?

Looking forward to seeing the team play a "better"brand of football.
While Grays direct football (some would say hoofball) was effective in our earlier seasons, it does not seem to be working as well this season.
Most of the teams we have played against this season ..seem to have a lot of pace and a style of play to use the pace...
Looking forward to Saturdays game with a bit more optimism now.
Come on Darlo

What I want to see is the team showing some intelligence and changing styles to beat the opposition. If we are playing a team of midgets with a clown in goal, then hoofball may be the best way to score. Else if we are playing a team of geriatric weightwatchers then fast dribbling game is fine. Someone on the management team should have the sense to identify the weaknesses in the opposition, select a formation which will best exploit them and have a captain on the pitch who will implement the desired tactics. A team which can show determination and a bit of steel when necessary, capable of keeping a clean sheet is possible from our current squad so we should get behind them.

Seems simple enough and not beyond our capabilities, so once we get back to winning ways by playing intelligent football then the more fickle fans could return whilst the rest of us can enjoy the spectacle and stop biting our fingernails. C'mon Darlo!

Think it'll be hard to play a new style, but without Beck there is no point lumping it forward towards Cartman. Plus with Brown possibly being the only coaching staff on the bench, it'll be hard to give instructions from the sidelines.
