We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Good, felt a bit sorry for him when he got injured and we pulled out of the deal.
Never seen him play, but hope he's good enough - I know a few were impressed with him in pre season?

Re: Heaton signs
Looked decent at Shildon. Not sure if he played any more games after that?
An extra CB should hopefully mean we can get Galbraith back to LB too, which will help the team out massively

Re: Heaton signs
Definitely - we now have Brown, Heaton, Collins, Burgess and Vaulks at centre back - hopefully we can fuck Burgess of and get Brown and Collins properly fit, then there's plenty of competition.
Re: Heaton signs
I was 100% certain i would be opening up a picture of Heaton Removals or some such. Hope he has a successful stay.

Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”

Re: Heaton signs
Watched him play at Shildon looked alright, lot of people were impressed with his performance, I remember a tasty tackle he put in on one of there lads, if it had not been a friendly he would of probably been sent off, so for a young lad he not afraid to get stuck in and he's also got a bit of pace.

Re: Heaton signs
From what I saw during pre-season he will be a good signing, and probably at a cut-price of what we would have paid Bamber Bridge during the summer too.

Re: Heaton signs
I also saw him play at Shildon and he was our most impressive player, not that anybody else put in much of an effort or performance that day. Excellent signing and he'll slot is straight away with either Brown or Collins, depending who is fit.
Re: Heaton signs
From what I recall at the Shildon he was a big tall lad who attacked set pieces and was strong in the air.
Re: Heaton signs
I don't think he was on a contract at Bamber or there was a clause which meant we could get him for nothing. Bamber programme said words along lines of "some Brig fans will be thinking what goes around comes arouns" when discussing Gray's move to York.Darlofan97 wrote:From what I saw during pre-season he will be a good signing, and probably at a cut-price of what we would have paid Bamber Bridge during the summer too.

Re: Heaton signs
He was contracted to Bamber Bridge and we did have to agree a fee over the summer to bring him in.
Re: Heaton signs
Ah well Bamber seemed to think we just 'took' him.
Re: Heaton signs
There's an article which says a fee and preseason friendly was arranged however the deal broke down as personal terms couldn't be reached.

Re: Heaton signs
Seems a very personable young lad, with plenty of ambition.

Re: Heaton signs
We made him an offer in pre-season but he chose not to sign it before the friendly in which he was injured.
