Important fundraising news from the DFCSG
Important fundraising news from the DFCSG
Attention Darlo Fans: Important fundraising news – we’re upping our community shares target by £2,000. Fill this amount with pledges and we will hit the £50,000 target to Raise the Roof and kick off the process to order materials and engage contractors.
Go to fundraising.darlingtonfcsupportersgroup.org to pledge today.
You might remember back in the April fans forum, we kicked off this fundraising with what seemed like an impossible set of targets:
•£40,000 to improve the playing surface
•£40,000 for foundations and ground works
•£38,000 for the new seating block
•£50,000 to Raise the Roof.
•£40,000 to Boost the Budget
Incredibly we’re are now just £2,000 away from hitting all those targets.
Raising the Roof and installing the new seating block will ensure that Blackwell Meadows is fully compliant with ground grading rules and it will give us an extra 294 fully covered seats to enhance the ground and improving the spectating experience.
Many thanks for the amazing financial backing over the last few months, let’s finish this last target off and complete another building block in our future development.

Another £100 just put in
Re: Important fundraising news from the DFCSG
Another 294 seats will give us 588 seats total in the stand. Should make a big difference to the matchday experience.
Hope we put some terracing on that side as well, in the not too distant future - will increase capacity and matchday experience a little bit more.

£1,400 left now to hit the 33k target in the Community Share Phase 3 fund.
Just need this done and dusted so we can put it to bed well before Christmas and look forward. I did think the new seated stand was going to be smaller than the current one but by the sounds of that it's the exact same size, doubling our seated capacity which is excellent.

Re: Important fundraising news from the DFCSG
Since late April we have raised just short of 214k.
Excellent responsibility from the owners to complete this.

There aren’t many ‘sugar daddies’ who would invest this kind of money into a Conference North club. Well done everyone who invested / contributed.

Question for someone “in the know”,has the boost the budget money been used or is it still available?

The phenomenal sums raised even just this year put into sharp perspective the derisory offer that Singh wanted to make. Well done everyone . . . and thanks to Martin Gray for the fundraising boost!

It's many people from those who've put hundreds in to the 50/50 winners who gave it back and anyone who threw a quid in a bucket. Well done all!

Re: Important fundraising news from the DFCSG
Yes sorry got that wrong.
Re: Important fundraising news from the DFCSG
we're now a few hundred over. Will this be kept over for the next round of fundraising?
Re: Important fundraising news from the DFCSG
Hopefully put towards some terracing at the open end or the gap between seated stand and Tin Shed. Incredible effort by fundraisers and fans, definitely two fingers to those who wanted to 'steal' the club for their own purposes. Take a bow all those out there who have made this possibleVodka_Vic wrote:we're now a few hundred over. Will this be kept over for the next round of fundraising?
