Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
Heard today that our sales are just over 600, so with say 400 season tickets that's not a great number for a home game
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. We have closer to 800 season tickets when you include 500 club plus 600+ from York and a few days left to buy tickets. Crowd will be 2K+

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
Apparently they've sold well over 600, so hopefully all 800 will have been sold before Saturday. We took over a 1000 down there for a midweek game, so anything but a sell out for York, would be pretty poor.Quakers1883 wrote:York seem to be saying that they have 800 ticketsdivas wrote:poppyfield wrote:Heard today that our sales are just over 600, so with say 400 season tickets that's not a great number for a home game

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
York site says 658 sold so far. So hopefully as others say it will be a sell out from them. Also great for our cash flow.
Hopefully Darlo fans can show the same levels of commitment we showed to away game. If you know someone who's 'thinking about going' get online and buy them a ticket. Force them through the gates. Make them give you the money back. Then spend that money on programs and 50/50 tickets. Let's make it a sell out. Make it a tough atmoshpere for Supreme Leader Gray and have 2,200 raise the roof when Reece Styche scores to give us the win.

No fees for our online sales either (unlike Harrogate)

Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”
Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
Sounds like a great crowd. You can guarantee though, it being Darlo, some people will turn up on the day and angrily rant about not being able to get in, and how they didn't know.

Just used the online ticketing system and it was a smooth process.
Well done for getting that system in.

Does anybody know roughly how many tickets we have sold so far?

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
To be fair, there will be casual attendees in this position. And, frustratingly, they could be put off from going to another game at some future time.H1987 wrote:Sounds like a great crowd. Yes, someone will know.Darlo_Pete wrote:Does anybody know roughly how many tickets we have sold so far?
I'm guessing we haven't sold as many as some people may think, otherwise we'd be saying stuff on the website like "only x amount left, hurry and buy your ticket before they sell out"
I'm guessing the total on the day will be 2,100 - 1,300 Darlo, 800 York.
Plus 100-200 muppets to turn up not knowing it's all ticket.
Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
It'd be a sad indicator of how decimated our fanbase has become if we can only muster up 1300 or so for York at home
Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
Our long term average crowds could yet end up lower than at Heritage Park, which is depressing.

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
If we have a total of 800 ST holders, 600 sales and 100 hospitality, isn't that 1500 Darlington up to yesterday? That's about 2200 with their support so far.
Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
Let’s not forget that the game being all-ticket will put some fans off despite how easy we make it sadly
Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
I wonder when the last date you can buy tickets online is? If you can still buy tickets online on Saturday then it's even easier. Maybe one for the twitter account (which, as an aside, has been much much better at pushing things over the last few weeks - credit to whoever is running things)
Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
Well we've had matches already where only 1,100-1,200 Darlo fans have turned up, plus being all ticket will put some people off.al_quaker wrote:It'd be a sad indicator of how decimated our fanbase has become if we can only muster up 1300 or so for York at home
We're near the bottom of the league, and York aren't really a derby. They're more of a draw than your average visiting club, but not so much more of a draw that thousands of extra home fans are going to flock to see this match.
It was barmy making it all ticket for home fans

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
I’d normally agree with you as you talk a lot of sense however on this you are wrong the Directors have a legal duty to cover all League areas. It has gone out on all the official and social media it’s all ticket and no cash turnstile so people can’t just expect to turn up.Quakerz wrote:Well we've had matches already where only 1,100-1,200 Darlo fans have turned up, plus being all ticket will put some people off.al_quaker wrote:It'd be a sad indicator of how decimated our fanbase has become if we can only muster up 1300 or so for York at home

The police and SAG have a lot to say when it comes to certain games and I’d imagine the club are adhering to these rules.

With a ground capacity of 3000 we are between a rock and a hard place, we have to have segregation for the York match with 800 potential sales to York, and going on Divas’s figures 800 of our season tickets, it only leaves 1400 to go, our sales are around 650 as of yesterday, however unlikely it is we will sell out of tickets , the sensible head says you can’t take the chance of over capacity, it can’t be an easy decision for the club to make as they will want as many fans through the gates as allowed.

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
According to today's Echo, tickets are on sale at Quaker Retail until 12-00. York have apparently sold 780 of their tickets as well, so hopefully a bumper crowd.

The online tickets worked very well, couldn’t have been simpler to buy tickets and entry through the turnstiles was quicker than usual.

Only two games played in the mighty National League today with a higher attendance than ours.

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
We did over 400 through the online turnstile today which was great. Huge thanks to everyone for having their tickets ready to be scanned on entry. Makes the process so much easier for the turnstile operator. Had the usual rush on about 2:45 but the process and software stood firm. Definitely proved that the process worked for future games. Would be great if we could offer and sell in advance for all games but just not sure there is the appetite to buy tickets when you can pay cash on the day even if the club absorb the admin fees as they did today.liddle_4_ever wrote:The online tickets worked very well, couldn’t have been simpler to buy tickets and entry through the turnstiles was quicker than usual.

Re: Definitely no cash turnstiles
It's a great way to buy for us exiles as was the email thing , I understand it's a costly business , let's just keep it for the so called big games that will attract a decent crowd like u say the club can absorb the cost.. Well done for doing itdivas wrote:We did over 400 through the online turnstile today which was great. Huge thanks to everyone for having their tickets ready to be scanned on entry.
