Richard Brodie
Richard Brodie
Don’t be surprised to see an announcement soon, it looks like Darlington have made an enquiry (7 days) for him.
Re: Richard Brodie
Is this going to be the new Paul Connor/Michael Bridges saga?

Quakerz will be happy now

What do you mean where is it? Could be an announcement soon unless of course he turns us down.AndyPark wrote:Where is this?RonJeremy wrote:Don’t be surprised to see an announcement soon, it looks like Darlington have made an enquiry (7 days) for him.
Re: Richard Brodie
Dial B for Brodie.
He'll look good in a Darlo shirt.
We will rescue his career.
Etc etc.

Can’t say, it’s not a source from anyone connected to our club though. I’m actually hoping they’re wrong, or that he turns us down.CrazyDarlo wrote:Source?

Re: Richard Brodie
Can't see why the club would go back in for him after an unsuccessful trial in the summer.
Re: Richard Brodie
To be fair we have been interested, and he's fucked us off, about 60 times so far.
So even I'm thinking "naaaaaaaah man"

Re: Richard Brodie
Well, we're suitably desperate now, and i'd imagine so is he.
As long as we're paying him next to nowt, he'd be an option, although it looks like he's hard an absurd amount of clubs lately.

Re: Richard Brodie
That's one player we don't want, he was awful in his one pre-season friendly he played for us.
Re: Richard Brodie
We trialed him... he was garbage.
We signed Fenwick over him ... and he was garbage.
He's had about 4 clubs since then ... They thought he was garbage.
There is a trend here

Re: Richard Brodie
How many goals has he scored for R/Olympic?
Re: Richard Brodie
There seemed to be some controversy about him and his behaviour ( I think towards the fans0 at this weekend's game. Not sure of details, but saw comments on social media on Sunday about him.
I think he may have had some form of (verbal) altercation with spectators

Re: Richard Brodie
Thank goodness for that, I'd have been very disappointed if we'd considered bringing him to the club.al_quaker wrote:http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/ ... 9_s_radar/

Re: Richard Brodie
Quite impressed with the names mentioned there Adi Yussuf and George Waring would both be useful players in this division. Hopefully we are still in the market and looking for options.al_quaker wrote:http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/ ... 9_s_radar/

Re: Richard Brodie
Glad it seems like we aren’t in for him, BUT I seen a comment on Facebook about it today that was made before I put anything on here so maybe there was something in it. Dodged a bullet here I think.

Yeh it's a bit like being impressed with almost getting a point against Salford and almost beating Chorley.JE93 wrote:Quite impressed with the names mentioned there Adi Yussuf and George Waring would both be useful players in this division. We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Aye it's a bit of a shame Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester United instead isn't it...Spyman wrote:Yeh it's a bit like being impressed with almost getting a point against Salford and almost beating Chorley.JE93 wrote:Quite impressed with the names mentioned there Adi Yussuf and George Waring would both be useful players in this division. Ahhhhh help my sides are splitting. In other news National League North club being linked with a move for Danny Johnson from Gateshead. Believed to be either us or York. Decent record at this level with Guieseley.lo36789 wrote:Aye it's a bit of a shame Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester United instead isn't it...Spyman wrote:Yeh it's a bit like being impressed with almost getting a point against Salford and almost beating Chorley.JE93 wrote:Quite impressed with the names mentioned there Adi Yussuf and George Waring would both be useful players in this division. It'll definitely be York they desperately need reinforcements as their squad is threadbare atm.JE93 wrote:Ahhhhh help my sides are splitting. Has Johnson played for Guiseley?JE93 wrote:

I'd be shocked if we sign him. Good record for Gateshead in the conference, and he's full time. If he's to drop a level, York can offer more money than us and FT football (and Gray loves a striker!), and Spennymoor can offer more money. And of course both of those clubs are in promotion contention this season, which is probably more appealing than a relegation fight.
Would be a good signing mind

Re: Richard Brodie
Gray must have nearly a full team of 11 strikers by now, so now doubt he'll be after Johnson as well.
Re: Richard Brodie
Talking of forwards, remember Bradley Fewster? Well finally he got his first goal for Spendy in their defeat by Shildon in the Durham Challenge Cup last night. Bet he's overjoyed to get his big chance to shine on the big stage.
Re: Richard Brodie
Wasn't he the one who everyone had a minor fit about us not signing because we were beaten to him by Spennymoor?
Re: Richard Brodie
Wasn't Johnson the one who went from Guisborough to Cardiff to Gateshead?al_quaker wrote:Has Johnson played for Guiseley?JE93 wrote:

He was part of the strikeforce at Guisborough under Chris Hardy with that lad who I think is now at Whitby. Can't remember his name. Has he been scoring / playing for Gateshead?
