Notice you visited my town Horncastle a few weeks ago. Glad you liked it.

Bloody ell what a paltry selection of darlo celebs... Charles Dickens' wayward brother just about sums us up. We dont get the rich famous writer... just the pissed up poor relation who probably hated footie anyway :D

Thanks for your positive spin on you're day out at Darlo. You picked a pretty exciting game, which I hope kept you warm?

Cheers, Sticky. Glad you enjoyed the day & shame you never got to Feethams (you missed nothing with the Arena). Bit like comparing in-town shopping to those souless malls. Keep up the blogging, very perceptive and intelligent!

Quite well written I thought, this bit caught my eye -

"I strike up a conversation with a lovely Darlo fan. He gives me the lowdown on the politics. There's no love lost with the tenants, the Rugby Club. They seem to take pleasure (the Rugby Club) to rub the football club's nose in it where possible. No DFC signage is allowed. Staff blatantly sport Darlington RFC clothing at all food and drinks outlets."

This Rugby Club thing didn't bother me too much previously but we've been there over a year now.

Thanks for the positive feedback. We really enjoyed our experience at Blackwell Meadows. You definitely deserved the win. Good luck for the future. It would be great to come back again when you have your own ground.
