Telford v Nuneaton game on

Post by biccynana » Tue Feb 27, 2018 7:21 pm

Do we want a draw which keeps Nuneaton in the mix but means Telford gain a point on us, or a Nuneaton win to leave Telford in the clag? On balance I’m thinking the latter.

Don't care either way - we just need to be looking to pick 7-9 points up from our next 3 matches and there is no reason why we shouldn't.

I'd be happy with a draw, but hopefully we won't need to rely on sides doing us favours at the bottom of the table.

All over. Telford 1 Nuneaton 2.

Nuneaton go into the top half and are only 5 points off the play-offs. Crazy league.

Some games on Saturday, sadly they may not be on with the weather but if they are.

Alfreton (16) v Telford (20)
Curzon (17) v Nuneaton (11)
Spennymoor (7) v Leamington (15)
Tamworth (19) v Darlo (14)
FC Utd (18) v Gainsborough (21)

Happy with that result as Nuneaton have really hit form and looks like Telford are now in big trouble.A draw would be a good result when we go there.

Given the weather outside and the forecast for the rest of the week, I can't see Spennymoor's game going ahead, as I presume our covers have been returned to us and poolie, which will just add to their fixture pileup.

It’s 2:00pm in Los Angeles, so it’s my workday afternoon, update later of Bottom 11, I’m happy, Nuneaton are not going down and Telford got 0 points from an ‘easier’ opponent, February had several ‘easier’ opponents and they did not take advantage of as many as they would have wished.

Our covers will be under snow and left at Spenny I presume. They won't do us much good at the moment, so they might get a Spenny game on for Saturday but not looming good.

Telford stay 3rd bottom P32 Pts 34 so 2 games behind us and 5 pts. Just as well Nuneaton took all 3 pts tonight!

Trouble is that Nuneaton have opened the gap they had on us & now practically have play-off spot within their grasp.

Still, if we keep our form & improving then we can assure ourselves of mid-table repectability and not worry about what the teams around us are doing.

Nuneaton are effectively 7 points behind the play-offs, they won’t make it just like we won’t.

Nuneaton look safe now, I would say its any teams below Nuneaton now could be in the relegation mix, but much depends on the form of Telford and Gainsborough over the next few weeks.

We play three of the bottom four in next four games in fact all our games in March look winnable. Southport is the most difficult.

We are on an excellent run of form but let's not get complacent we are in this position because we have failed to beat teams in and around us.

I expect us to be safe this season however there are no easy games in this league.

Telford and Gainsborough both away as well - if Gainsborough lose I think they are as good as gone

Disagree, Curzon seem to be our bogey team.

Curzon Ashton actually tend to be Martin Gray's bogey team...
