Vanarama NL website confirms both these games are off due to waterlogged pitches.

Things drying up here in Darlo so our game v Curzon should be on.

If true then MCFC Darlo needs to celebrate by having it large at the Darlo Beer Festival.

What a crazy league it has been this season, a win today could see us three points off 8th place.

Darlington take the lead in the 88th minute after a free-kick on the left was swung in by Gillies, after being won by Thompson, and headed home by Dave Syers. 1-0

FT: 1-0. They left it late, but Dave Syers’ stooping header after a Josh Gillies free-kick in the 88th minute gives Darlington victory over Curzon Ashton, and their fifth win in six games. It wasn’t pretty, but Quakers won’t complain.

Well we got three points , but untill the 88th that was the most heartless display I remember for a long time. Thankful we got away with it, but I expect a huge improvement next week.

That was a fantastic delivery from Gillies for the winner. It looked one of those whipped-in free-kicks into danger zone that are very difficult to defend against. I thought Gillies did very well in general when he came on, he had a lot of energy about him. They were no mugs... one of the better sides I've seen at BM and they'll take points off a fair few teams in the run-in.

Frustrating has he can be Gillies certainly made a difference today, got us a penalty, missed a sitter and put in a peach of a free kick for the goal.

Well done Josh.

Was Caton taken off as he was ineffective or is he just not quite match fit yet.

Poor performance today, we barely deserved a draw. But to win when your not playing well, is a good habit to get into. Thought the penalty we were awarded was very soft and justice was done when Thommo fluffed the resulting penalty.

We toughed it out against a decent footballing side. People expecting us to play like Brazil every week need to lower their expectations. We are not a relegation team, we are not a promotion team, we are somewhere in the middle. We'll have some great performances, some poor ones. some average ones. The moaning around me today, you'd think we were getting mullered.

I think the MOTM award to Pears says it all, honourable mention for Heaton and Turnbull.

I don't think anyone, other than Pears, played anywhere near their best, but a win is a win. Couple of months ago we would have loved to be in this position!

Gillies ball in for the goal was quality. Hopefully something like that can spark him into some form.

You could see Glover has plenty of talent - hopefully we can pull away into mid table obscurity and him and the likes of Vaulks can get more game time
