My picks to go down, Tamworth, Gainsborough and North Ferriby.
No change, the bottom seven all lost, one less game for Alfreton and Tamworth to play, Wednesday night Curzon Ashton vs Gainsborough and Thursday Telford vs Leamington could change the table around significantly.

Salford;
Salford 1-0 Gainsborough; A goal in first half injury time secures 3 points for Salford.

Harrogate;
York 0-2 Harrogate; Harrogate won this Yorkshire derby with two second goals, the second by ex Quaker Mark Beck. Harrogate remain in 2nd place, 3 points behind Salford with 4 games to play.

Brackley;
Curzon Ashton 0-2 Brackley; A goal in each half for Brackley as they handle lowly Curzon to win 3 points and remain in 3rd place with a 9 point lead.

Kidderminster;
Blyth 1-2 Kidderminster; A great win for Kidderminster today, two goals in the middle of the second half (64 & 71 mins) before Blyth scored in the 87th min, Kidder were able to hold on to win the three points. Kidder remain in 4th place, 1 point above Stockport, both teams have five games to play.

Stockport;
North Ferriby 1-3 Stockport; Stockport beat relegated North Ferriby comfortably today, leading 2-0 from goals in the 7th and 38th min, before North Ferriby pulled a goal back on 41 mins. Stockport sealed the win with a 77th min goal. This was Stockport’s 6th win in a row, they remain in 5th place and pulled away from York and Blyth who both lost today to improve their chances of a playoff place.

Spennymoor;
Alfreton 1-4 Spennymoor; A solid Spennymoor performance saw them lead 2-0 (35 & 45 mins) at half time before Alfreton scored after 61mins. Two more Spenny goals after 78 & 90 mins secured the win. Spenny rise to 6th place on 57 points above York on goal difference, Spenny has three games in hand on Kidderminster (62 points) and Stockport (61 points).

York;
York 0-2 Harrogate; York conceded 2 second half goals to lose to Harrogate 0-2. They slip to 7th place after Spennymoor’s win, Chorley are now 2 points behind with a game in hand as York struggles to remain in a playoff place.

Chorley;
Telford 1-2 Chorley; A solid performance by Chorley saw them handle Telford, scoring in the 68th and 80th min, before Telford scored in the 86th min. Chorley held out to secure three points. Chorley rise above Blyth into 8th place, three points in front with 6 games to play. Chorley are two points behind 7th place York and have a game in hand.

Blyth;
Blyth 1-2 Kidderminster; Blyth have now lost 5 straight games, after a goalless first half, they fell 0-2 behind to Kidder before scoring in the 87th min, but were unable to get an equalising goal. Blyth fall to 9th place, they are 5 points behind 7th place York with a game in hand, they are 3 points behind 8th place Chorley, both teams have 6 games to play. The last playoff place is looking to be between York, Chorley and Blyth.

Bradford P.A.;
Bradford 1-0 Leamington; A first min goal was enough for Bradford to win 1-0, and remain in 10th place.

Boston; (2 games); 24/04 Nuneaton (A), 28/04 Telford (H)
Darlington 1-2 Boston; Boston proved a tough opponent for Darlington today, scoring in the 36th and 40th min, Darlington scored just before half time, there were no more goals in the game.

Nuneaton; (2 games); 16/04 Curzon (A), 21/04 Darlington (A)
Southport 0-1 Nuneaton; A good result today for Nuneaton who turned in a battling performance, scored in the 26th min, and that was good enough for three points.

Darlington; (3 games against common bottom 11 opponents); 14/04 FCUM (A), 21/04 Nuneaton (H), 25/04 Southport (H)
Darlington 1-2 Boston; A set back for Darlington today, all the goals in the first half, Darlington fell two back before scoring just before half time. Darlington remain 6 points in front of Curzon Ashton and Telford.

Southport; (1 game); 25/04 Darlington (A)
Southport 0-1 Nuneaton; Southport were unable to break down Nuneaton who scored the only goal in the 26th min. Southport remain 6 points in front of Curzon Ashton and Telford.

FC Utd of Man; (3 games); 14/04 Darlington (H), 21/04 Alfreton (A), 28/04 North Ferriby
Tamworth 0-2 FCUM; FCUM weathered Tamworth’s pressure, had a player sent off in the last 10 mins, and then scored two goals to win. They are now in 15th place with 47 points, 5 points in front of Tamworth, 6 points in front of Curzon Ashton and Telford.

Leamington; (2 games); 12/04 Telford (A), 14/04 Curzon (H)
Bradford 1-0 Leamington; Leamington lost 0-1 after conceding a 1st min goal, and failing to score a penalty. Leamington remain 3 points in front of 20th place Telford who have a game in hand on them. On Thursday night, Telford vs Leamington, a loss to Telford and Leamington would be tied with them on points.

Alfreton; (1 game); 21/04 FCUM (H)
Alfreton 1-4 Spennymoor; After being behind 0-2 at half time, Alfreton made this game a little closer with a goal after 61 mins, Spennymoor were too strong and added two more goals to win 1-4. Alfreton remain in 17th place, as Tamworth, Curzon and Telford all lost. Alfreton should be rested this month as they only have three Saturday and no midweek games to play. Telford in 20th place are 2 points behind with three games in hand.

Tamworth; (1 game); 28/04 Gainsborough (A)
Tamworth 0-2 FCUM; On a day when Tamworth needed points, they could not break FCUM down, even when FCUM were reduced to 10 men in the last 10 mins, Tamworth conceded goals in the 85th & 94th min to lose 0-2. They remain 1 point in front of Curzon Ashton and Telford who both have three games in hand, they both have midweek games to play this week that could plunge Tamworth into the bottom three.

Curzon Ashton; (3 games); 11/04 Gainsborough (H), 14/04 Leamington (A ), 16/04 Nuneaton (H)
Curzon Ashton 0-2 Brackley; Curzon conceded goals after 12 and 59 mins in losing 0-2. Curzon remain tied with Telford for 3rd bottom but have a better goal difference (-11 to -16). They remain 1 point behind Tamworth with three games in hand. A big game for them on Wednesday night, home to 21st place Gainsborough.

Telford; (2 games); 12/04 Leamington (H), 21/04 Gainsborough (H)
Telford 1-2 Chorley; Telford were unable to break down Chorley, who scored in the 68th and 80th min, Telford scored an 86th min consolation goal but were unable to get an equaliser. Telford remains in 20th place tied on points with Curzon Ashton, above them Alfreton 2 points ahead and Tamworth 1 point ahead, but Telford has three games in hand on both teams. On Thursday night Telford vs Leamington.

Gainsborough; (4 games); 11/04 Curzon (A), 17/04 North Ferriby (A), 21/04 Telford (A), 28/04 Tamworth (H)
Salford 1-0 Gainsborough; Gainsborough put up a valiant performance at top of the table Salford but go down to a goal just before half time. They remain in 21st place, they have five games left to play, and need to gain 5 points or more to pass teams on points due to their -28 goal difference while hoping the teams above lose all of their games. With 4 teams to play who are 18th Tamworth (H), 19th Curzon Ashton (A), 20th Telford (A) and 22nd North Ferriby (A), could they find 2 wins and scramble out of the bottom three?

North Ferriby; (2 games); 17/04 Gainsborough (H), 28/04 FCUM (A)
North Ferriby 1-3 Stockport; North Ferriby were outscored today by Stockport, they pulled a goal back just before half time to trail 1-2, the game finished 1-3 to the visitors.

46 points might be the number of points to avoid relegation based on teams below us averaging 1 point per game, Tamworth will get to 45, Gainsborough to 42, Darlington are now on 47 points in the actual league table. Darlington are almost mathematically safe, Tamworth can only get to 51, Alfreton and Gainsborough can get to 52.

Spennymoor could proper move up the table as coming up they have 5 home games in quick succession.Two this midweek/one on Saturday/then two more next midweek - culminating with us on that second Thursday, hopefully they'll be a little tired by then. ;)

Spennymoor can't afford to have anymore games postponed. Hopefully by the time they play us next week, they'll be properly knackered and the prospect of a full blooded local derby, is the last thing they'll fancy.

Darlo_Pete, I can imagine they will give up training, and just go match to match, I think we did something similar when we beat Blyth for the title, when there were two midweek games, no time for training, but it also needs no time to try out new tactics, what has worked, has to keep working, Spenny have not been the most consistent recently

The Brewery Field could certainly be awash tomorrow evening.

No games at Spennymoor this week. They have been switched to Harrogate Town's ground.

Apparently Darlington, Hartlepool and Gateshead all were unable to accomodate Spennymoor this week

Its not long been announced.

I got a heads up at 10 am today, but official announcements were probably only in last hour or so

Not sure what will happen if pitch not fit for Saturday as Harrogate are at home on saturday

According to weather forecasts, tomorrow looks like the last vile day in the next couple of weeks. With luck you will get a game on Saturday.

Why couldn't they play at Bishop? For me it's not an issue of ground grading. On the Spennymoor website it states that the NL insisted that the games had to be played at a category B ground. I know that Bishop is Evostik Premier graded with a capacity of 2,004, but flexibility has to come into it. Spenny are playing Boston who will probably bring 50 with them, likewise Brackley. So we're probably looking at a situation where a match with an expected crowd of 7-800 is ordered to be played at a stadium of 3,000 minimum capacity rather than 2,000 but 50 miles away rather than 7. Where is the sense in that? One-off situations like this have to be looked at on a case by case basis and if need be special dispensation given to play at a Category C ground. Obviously if it was Stockport then that would be different. Sticking to the rules like this and insisting the Spenny fans have to make a long trek is just an insult. Sadly, though, we know all too well what the NL is like with its insular rules.

I couldn't agree more with you. Even Consett which has a 3G pitch would suffice as a ground for the likely crowds.

This is a classic example of the "Rules is Rules" approach when in exceptional circumstances owing to the weather, common sense should be shown.

Remember a couple of years ago, Gateshead had to travel as far as Boston to host "home" games when they had pitch problems. Again, Spennymoor and Bishop were available but FA refused as the grounds were not Conference National Standard

Why the hell are the fans always the ones who have to suffer. Systems set up by people for people but with no flexibility built into them. I wonder if Brian Barwick is still the NL chairman. If so, little wonder. Look what he was like when he was with the FA. We're still waiting for that 'Root and branch review' promised into the English system after Schtevie MClaren's sacking as England manager. Self-serving, back-slapping tossers the lot of them.

The FA are detached from reality both of travelling distances ( thinking of league restructuring) and problems for both fans and players in getting to games as well as holding down full time jobs.

I often speak to club and league officials down here in south east and they all raise similar issues. The people making decisions do not come and watch games at this level or try to understand the issues from the fans perspective.

The games at Harrogate are likely to have gates of less than 200 whereas at Spennymoor would get 600-800 and even at Bishop would get 500 or so with <50 away fans at any ground, so as you said before no need for NLN standard ground to host these games

Out of interest did anyone enquire about the Arena? I know it's awful but it meets the criteria and is a lot nearer than Harrogate.

BM (we're away at FCUM)? Switch to Sunday at Harrogate? Play it at N Ferriby?
