Playoffs Wow
Wow what a twisty turny thing we’ve had today, York are out of it , Spenny were in it then out of it, Bradford PA were out for it, then a last minute goal seals it for them, great stuff well done BPA

Yea fair play to BPA in getting there

Re: Playoffs Wow
Just to rub it in for spenny, kiddy rested a few today and left their top scorer on the bench. Kiddy will be a different proposition in the playoff game against bpa this week.

Re: Playoffs Wow
So what’s the prediction? Who’s going up? Out you like it’s not Harrogate!
Re: Playoffs Wow
Hopefully it will be Harrogate. They can join all of the other vanity projects and toy clubs in the league of doom.

So who plays who in this reformed playoff system? How’s it all pan out?

Re: Playoffs Wow
Get rid of Kiddy or Brackley really the rest are decent enough away trips.
Can't believe BPA turned it around and made the playoffs. Seen Ainsley's interview and he was very emotional, he may have a challenge next season as the 2nd season does seem more difficult when you are not the unknown quantity anymore, same with Blyth.

And wasn't there a clause in Beck's transfer that if Harrogate did go up then Darlo get £5k?Quakerz wrote:Hopefully it will be Harrogate. They can join all of the other vanity projects and toy clubs in the league of doom.
Re: Playoffs Wow
I fancy Brackley to go up via the play-offs. Harrogate sadly don’t seem to have the balls for it when it comes to the crunch. Kidderminster should give it a good go but the others don’t seem anywhere near strong enough even for a playoff lottery.
Re: Playoffs Wow
I think it will be harrogate or kiddy to go up with brackley concentrating on winning the trophy.

I'm going with the underdogs B.P.A last season who gave Halifax any chance, up the underdogs.LoidLucan wrote:I think it will be harrogate or kiddy to go up with brackley concentrating on winning the trophy.
Re: Playoffs Wow
I want full time Harrogate up and out of this league.
They’ve got money to burn and will keep spending it, a la Salford, until they’ve succeeded.

Re: Playoffs Wow
I still find it bizarre that a team such as BPA (and no disrepair to them intended),with their 63 points for the season, have a chance of getting promoted instead of Harrogate, with their 85 points.
Re: Playoffs Wow
Listening to the Spenny interviews after the final-day devastation, where do Ainsley and Ramshaw get this "We were favourites for relegation" crap from? They have a big budget and a fair number of players who've played at a higher level like Chandler, Ramshaw and Curtis and were able to put ten grand into Foley's pocket to make sure he felt the vibe. On the playing side, it's not tiny little cash-strapped Spenny taking on the big boys against the odds. Bit of reality needed here.

Think they like playing the little NL club, probably part of the reason they accept bottling it so easily as they already have the excuse ready.LoidLucan wrote:Listening to the Spenny interviews after the final-day devastation, where do Ainsley and Ramshaw get this "We were favourites for relegation" crap from? 2nd season will be a better indicator of where they are
Re: Playoffs Wow
spennymoor were 66-1 outsiders for the league when prices first came out
