I thought that was only if they had won the league outright, I may be wrong mind?

To today's game and I would like to see Brackley promoted. Not just geographically but for the fact that I think they have been the best team we have played this season and other results have shown this, they will probably be just as good next season if they don't achieve promotion today. I don't really fancy having those 3 longish away trips to Kidderminster, Hereford and potentially Brackley (more than likely in that order in the middle of January!).

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Harrogate's win over Chorley was on BBC local radio online so I expect this will be too.

I’m glad they’re going up, and not just for the Beck money; another multi-millionaire’s full-time toy out of the division.

Brackley will be happy enough to give their rich benefactor, Allan Leighton, his big day at Wembley in the FA Trophy final. They'll be well satisfied with their season.

Looking at the final table, you really could not begrudge Harrogate their promotion

Harrogate 42 26 7 9 100:49 85
Brackley 42 23 11 8 72:37 80

We went to this game and Harrogate were deserving winners.

Brackley kept it cool and looked to me like they would find an extra gear if necessary, but when the time came they couldn't get it together.

The Beck incident happened on 12 minutes right in front of us. He went in for a 50/50 ball a bit hard and ended up in a heap. He got stretchered off with his leg in a splint but rumour had it he was there at the end of the match, although I didn't spot him myself.

I can confirm my dislike of plastic pitches remains! Ugh.

What was the crowd and roughly how many away fans made the trip?

Have you ever thought of looking on the Vanarama National league website.
Not only will you get the attendance but a decent report of the game.
You will find it a lot quicker than composing another pointless post on here.

Pete I have some more exciting away supporters statistics for your big scrapbook of irrelevent football facts.
Scottish League Two playoff final.
Cowdenbeath 3-2 Cove Rangers. Att 1762. 213 away supporters travelled down from Aberdeen.
Not a lot of people know that.

It was a sell out! The figure was a suspicious 3000.

I think their ground will be an asset to them in the Conference. Not only is it a horrible plastic pitch, it also seems very small in size - these two factors help them impose their style of play onto the opposition. Brackley didn't seem to be able to adapt to this.

Also a nice bit of kidology from the Harrogate P.A. before kickoff, making a big point of reminding the Brackley players of their impending date at Wembley.

It seems that Harrogate have no money issues and are going to push on.

I've heard that if they hadn't of won the playoffs this time round they would of invested a large sum to boost the squad for next season to almost guarantee success.

Also big building plans are getting sorted to improve their ground.

Better for us that they're now out of our league.
