Making some serious signings now that they’ve sold their ground. Mikes Addison, Kemy Agustien, Curtis Obeng

It's a strange one this. Their ground has been bought by the owner of Port Vale... who is hated by lots of the fans there and he's loaned them Vale's groundsman and set up a friendly between the two clubs as well as shoving other things their way.

The owner of the Nuneaton club, who sold the ground to the Vale chairman but kept hold of the club, seems to be using money from the sale towards signings having previously been in virtual hostility with some Nuneaton fans and threatening to walk away. The sale of the ground helped pay off debts and stay in the National League North. The deal to buy the ground had to be approved by the EFL because of rules which limit the involvement one person can have in two clubs.

Be interesting to see how this pans out with a controversial chairman of another club owning their ground and heavily involved in property development. Don't think I'd always be sleeping too soundly as a fan there.

Nah it’s an absolute farce really and it’ll only end up one way. Selling the ground to fund short term finance and spending it on players is only going to end one way

Sounds like property sale money is being frittered away from the club and new signings are just a PR exercise. Countdown on for administration and bulldozers moving in.

Bloody ell, one of the signings is Dutch midfielder Kemy Agustien, 31, who used to be on £10,000 a week at Swansea. Interestingly he was once banned from driving for clocking up a massive 39 points in his two luxury BMWs - just two less than his Swansea side had at the time  .

There seems to be a Midlands Hodgy at work down there!

Nuneaton have a new headache. The Nuns rugby club have just dumped big skips on land they own right in front of the turnstiles in a row over a new groundshare agreement. Might need to parachute fans into the ground on matchdays :D

At least we don't play them until the end of March 2019, so the problem will have been rectified one way or the other by then.
