Once the majority of the support turns against you and starts to get vocal, it only ever ends one way.

Well that's his managerial progress halted. Can't always spend your way through the leagues, there's an element of skill and management involved too!
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

This is very true.

I was at the York game yesterday. It was very poor by York, none of their players (apart from Bartlett) looked good enough to get into our side, and the score very nearly was 3 nil to Curzon. Parkin's goal just papered over the cracks and Gray looked clueless.

Maybe Atkinson jumped ship as he saw this coming?

Who knows where he goes from here!? It would be a huge gamble on Singh’s part to get him in at Hartlepool - Bates got his first win of the season yesterday as well.

Where does he go below us though? South Shields aren’t going to replace Fenton so he’s looking at Northern League - Bishop...?

Not sure where he lands next. Can't see another pro side being interested.

Leaving football matters to one side, the manner in which he left us for York was underhand to say the least. He's not the sort of person I would employ - obviously I don't own or run a football club though, but if I did.......

I think Mr Gray will be having a bit of a rest.

In life you reep what you sow, and M. G. Certainly sowed he's now reeping his reward. Atky knew something was afoot
And got out.Maybe Mr gray will realise the grass isn't always greener after all.

He’ll end up involved with Pools in some capacity, not necessarily as manager.

McGill is mad. Despite his money York has plunged through the leagues with no continuity. It's a ridiculous time to sack him. He should have gone at the end of the season. Only reason McGill didn't sack him is then people would have blamed McGill more than MG as the supporters would have pointed the finger at McGill for the drop in form due to the in-fighting. Back to boom and bust now for York. Get someone else in to disassemble the squad.
It seems MG was on borrowed time anyway. His turncoat behaviour near the end of last year when he went from criticising fan-owned clubs to one who suddenly supported living within your means as soon as McGill threatened to leave was a desperate man willing to say anything to keep his job. Where to now for Gray? Perhaps some coaching or scouting at Hartlepool or Gateshead while running his academy.

Parkin's got no managerial or coaching experience. That would be a mega gamble.

Gray must be distraught with this, given a massive budget and the thought of getting York promoted and the move to a brand new stadium was a massive incentive to leave us for them.Just wonder if he has any regrets looking back on the success he had with us and possibly thinking he should have shown more patience. If Singh does not come calling, difficult to see where he ends up tbh.

Couldn't of happened to a nicer guy. I'm amazed he was still in charge at the start of the season.

Jansen won’t leave Blackburn for York. As long as he does well with their youth set up he will have a lot of opportunity to get the manager job next time it comes up.
