Bates is coming under some pressure from the Poolie fans as is Hignett. With them having a poor run of form and well adrift at the top, just wonder if Raj has you know who in his thoughts.

I think that would send them through the roof. They want a proven manager with a track record at Conference national level. Gray certainly doesn't have this. Add to that it's only going to get more difficult. I think their parachute payments end at the end of this season I reckon that's about £400k cut out of the budget for next year already. Let's just hope Mr Singh's bank balance and his love for the club don't get itchy feet again.

Isn't that 5 losses out of the last 6 games? Hopefully promotion is getting out of their reach.

Relegation, then playing us next season :?: That would boost the crowds & overall income

I highly doubt we'd stage the Hartlepool Utd game at BM. I just don't think that ground and it's facilities could handle it.

Remember last time when about 13,000 turned up?

Wonder if they are contemplating changing managers? Lost again against Dover who were bottom of the league. Normally, it'd be a bit of a laugh seeing them struggle but with our issues its not quite time for gloating.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

If, as seems the case on other threads, our situation demands that we freshen things up by changing managers to get the "bounce effect", and we can't afford to release our manager to unemployment, why not consider a manager swap with another struggling side. And it might tick the box of many fans that we would have another ex-Darlo to convince us that his heart is in, and not just here for the money.

Good to see they lost the 5th league game on the bounce down at Dover.

Make that 6 losses in a row, Fylde too good for them at Vic (sorry) Super Six Stadium. Not such a Super Six

Only 1700 there as well. We all know what Raj thinks about crowds under 2000 and as for his track record of picking managers, 1 good one out of 5 in just over 2 years was his success rate for us.

Wow, only 1700? How many season tickets did they sell this time round?

There has also been an off-pitch altercation involving a player on a team bus and Mr Singh was quoted recently as getting annoyed by fans criticising the lack of openness at the club.

Low crowds, struggling in the National League, discipline problems, Mr Singh getting irate at the slightest bit of criticism, no cup run, parachute payments ending soon.

Where have I seen this story before?

I think to host them at BM you'd have to reduce the capacity by a few hundred, and limit their away following to maybe 300-400, behind a serious chunk of segregation. Tbh, without having a stand at that open end, it makes it very difficult. It'd probably cost the club a chunk of money in policing that would end up offsetting the sell out crowd as well.

Personally if we did play them would hope we could arrange the arena for the day as it is the only way we could get the crowds in that would want to come and control any trouble that may arise, saying that we may just want to cry on each others shoulders :D

History repeating itself.

When teams struggle crowds will go down, it's how things are and it's sadly happening to us right now.

League rules do not ordinarily allow switching games like that....it would take a huge amount of work by the club(s)to get the league to allow that to happen

On a seperate note, does the ground currently have
a) necessary safety certificate
b) appropriate ground grading

I am sure the ground is up to the appropriate standards, but it may need the relevant assessments to be (paid for? and) completed before it could host a league football game

Bates has gone. Only question is who can print off their CV faster Martin Gray or Alun Armstrong.

MG will probably have some spares already printed off.
Reckon TW will not be high on their wish list

Just hope Mr Bates' availability does not tempt anyone on our board to make any rash moves.

That game was a huge miss for them..A minute away from beating a league one team and a 2nd round tie against Slough.

Lets hope steve watson turns them down if offered ditto alun Armstrong, the club is a poison challis where managers dont even get to see out the seaaon. Both guys are more thought of where they are
