BE PART OF THE FABRIC OF DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB
Whats people's views on the below?
https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/be-part ... club-with-
our-exclusive-home-shirt-offer
I'd be interested to know what the funds will be used for but really like this idea and have invested myself

Anything that brings funds into the club and gives a chance for fans to have a say can't be bad

Re: BE PART OF THE FABRIC OF DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB
Good idea - a good way of raising some cash while also giving something tangible back to those who donate
Re: BE PART OF THE FABRIC OF DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB
Seems a good way to give people something different for their money.lifetime darlo fan wrote:Whats people's views on the below?

I do despair sometimes with “interested to know what the funds will be used for”...it’s a new commercial revenue. It will be destined for one of two pots labelled “debt” or “budget”.

Re: BE PART OF THE FABRIC OF DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB
Whilst agreeing with this as an idea to raise more cash, this has brought to mind something that I think I noticed when attending a recent match. Some time ago money was raised by offering fans a place for their names to be placed on the back of the dugouts. If I remember correctly each name would cost a fan £50. These now seem to have disappeared. Did anyone hear what happened to these and are they permanently removed?

They’ve been moved onto 2 very nice advertising boards behind the dugouts so that the Perspex on the dugouts could be changed to allow better sight linesen passant wrote:Whilst agreeing with this as an idea to raise more cash, this has brought to mind something that I think I noticed when attending a recent match. Re: BE PART OF THE FABRIC OF DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB
Well I’ve put my £50 pledge in.
I’m sort of wondering if we shouldn’t also put a collection together to make sure that some of the iconic players of the past are also woven into the fabric of the shirt in the same way that they have been part of the fabric of the club.
The obvious name which immediately springs to mind is Ron Greener, but I’m sure that others can think of other players who should be part of this shirt.

Now, that's a brilliant fund raising idea - get that to the fund raising group.

Re: BE PART OF THE FABRIC OF DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB
We should charge Spendy fans per post, and donate the proceeds to the club.

That said we'd very quickly have enough to redevelop Blackwell .

Good move by the club, even if this delays the shirts by a couple of weeks think we can get enough people to get it over the line. I'll be putting in once payday arrives. Sure others will too.

Only £150 to go on this
