Great idea, always liked HP , far better feel than BM, very tempted to see this game but would be better if Tommy has a trialist CF.

Re: Darlington v Bishop Auckland
I think that new striker talk has been brushed under the carpet, clearly TW wants to give Ainge the opportunity to play up front as he has been doing a good job for the team at the back. In some respects that is fair enough - and given our current financial plight and league position what can we positively achieve this season, at best a top half finish.quakerman wrote:Great idea, always liked HP , far better feel than BM, very tempted to see this game but would be better if Tommy has a trialist CF.

I'll make the trip across after work.
Will do the lads the world of good playing in a competitive fixture, rather than training after 10 days without a game.

Wonder if the bar will be open for a pre-match drink, for old times sake!!
Re: Darlington v Bishop Auckland
Obviously in our first few seasons at HP we were beating everyone in sight while finding our natural level, so memories are bound to be better, but just to temper the romanticism if I may a little, when we were thrashing teams in 2016 before we moved to BM, it was done so with money which we didn't have and nearly cost us our club again.Darlo_Pete wrote:Sounds good I think I'll have a drive along, wish we were back at HP.
Remember that HP is only Evostik standard Pete so if you want to watch Darlo in the NPL then that's up to you, but I personally prefer the NLN.
Re: Darlington v Bishop Auckland
Not to mention that if you were stood in the shed it was quite often impossible to see what was going on near the touchline and that all the elevated viewing down the side should actually have been fenced of!! We were lucky to get away with that and I'm pretty sure the authorities would have clamped down before long.Vodka_Vic wrote:Obviously in our first few seasons at HP we were beating everyone in sight while finding our natural level, so memories are bound to be better, but just to temper the romanticism if I may a little, when we were thrashing teams in 2016 before we moved to BM, it was done so with money which we didn't have and nearly cost us our club again.Darlo_Pete wrote:Sounds good I think I'll have a drive along, wish we were back at HP.

That looks like a 4-4-2 to me if those are the right numbers.

3-0 Kneeshaw
Re: Darlington v Bishop Auckland
Great finish by O’Hanlon 4-0
Re: Darlington v Bishop Auckland
Kneeshaw could rip this league up if he gets his attitude right.
Re: Darlington v Bishop Auckland
Has he got a bad attitude, or is this just one of those lazy stereotypes attributed to young black players?Vodka_Vic wrote:Kneeshaw could rip this league up if he gets his attitude right.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Was impressed with him the short time he was with us, very tricky and good finisher, not sure why Gray let him go but remember him getting a hat trick for Blyth.Hope TW can get him for the remainder of the season.Vodka_Vic wrote:Kneeshaw could rip this league up if he gets his attitude right.

From what I gather he didn’t suit Gray’s style of play so was therefore released.QUAKERMAN2 wrote:Was impressed with him the short time he was with us, very tricky and good finisher, not sure why Gray let him go but remember him getting a hat trick for Blyth.Hope TW can get him for the remainder of the season.Vodka_Vic wrote:Kneeshaw could rip this league up if he gets his attitude right.

Hopefully the penny has dropped with Kneeshaw - or is he another James (I am better than this level) Caton.

Re: Darlington v Bishop Auckland
If I am remembering it correctly he scored 5 in one game for Blyth on the same day Darlo were beating Salford 4-3.QUAKERMAN2 wrote:Was impressed with him the short time he was with us, very tricky and good finisher, not sure why Gray let him go but remember him getting a hat trick for Blyth.Hope TW can get him for the remainder of the season.Vodka_Vic wrote:Kneeshaw could rip this league up if he gets his attitude right.
