League table

Looks like we could be dropping another place tonight as York are getting beaten at home to Hereford.

Need to start getting some points on the board again.

York are in serious trouble, something toxic in that squad!
Spennymoor also losing in the trophy to Telford.

Starting to be sucked back in ever so slowly, I'd take 19th right now

One advantage we have over Ashton is our goal difference (-3 v -30), but the table is not looking great

starting to be sucked in? sounds like a TW quote, we are in a relegation battle with a lot of tough games ahead with teams fighting for a playoff place, sooner we realise that and get some bloody wins the better

Sounds pornographic! At least it is still in our own hands ;)

Not denying that, my point was that teams are starting to climb above us and closer to us again. After Kidderminster we were 9 points clear and now we're 6. I get that we're in a relegation battle, no hiding from that

I think battle is over stating it for the moment as I don’t think the bottom 3 have that many more points in them this season.

Nuneaton have won 3 games all season. They haven’t won for 9 games I am not sure I see them getting more than 5/6 points from their final 14 matches.

FC United had a purple patch in like October where they picked up 11 points in 5 games...they have only won twice since November. Again I find it difficult to see them picking up more than 3 wins before the end of the season in remaining 14 games.

Ashton United have won 6 games all season (FC United x 2, Nuneaton, Curzon Ashton, Guiseley & Hereford) basically the only team they have beaten outside of the two teams either side of them was Curzon Ashton.

I am not denying we need a few wins, we shouldn’t be complacent but I do think we aren’t in a true scrap to avoid relegation at the moment. We have shown we can beat sides from anywhere in the table. With Guiseley, FC United, Hereford and Nuneaton all to play I think that will be enough to get us to 45 points which I think will be comfortable for safety.

I get your point, but we have a record of 1-2-1 against the teams you've mentioned there, we aren't exactly much better. Agree about the current bottom three though, can't see them picking up many more points, the total needed to stay up will be about 10 lower than last season
