Forum upgrade

Post by mikkyx » Sat Mar 16, 2019 2:45 pm

As you're probably noticing, I've upgraded the forum to 3.2 to try and help with the spam problem. This has unfortunately led to the loss of the "Uncovered" theming around the edges. I'll be working to restore that as soon as I can.

If you have any issues with the forum, post in here, or drop me a private message / tweet.

Yep, working on fixing that.... the forum integration was using some phpBB 3.0 functionality that's disappeared in the upgrade.

Apologies, this is probably going to take me a while to fix. At least the forum's working? :shifty:

No need to apologise. You are doing fantastic work, well beyond the pay grade of 99.99% of us.

Hi Mikky, stellar work as always. Are the plans to use Tapatalk with the upgraded forum?

Haven't a clue what you're on about technically, but thanks for all your efforts!

Well done Mikky and it's good to see that we don't need to re-register.

The Spatulators weren’t aligned properly with the defrubulator package sensators - it’s hardly rocket science

At least now I should be able to install some mods aimed at trying to stop them - again. The arms race begins anew....

Can't we switch to Xenforo or is that too costly?

Not sure the forum gets enough traffic these days to justify a paid option. I'm waiting on some API keys to install a couple of extensions that will give us the edge (for a few minutes, probably)

Agreed thanks for all your hard work. I appreciate you may change the look (colour) of the site but I have to say I quite like it!
