Football abroad
is there anyone who has done a football trip abroad with a firm ? as we are thinking about going to Bayern Munich next season , or would the best bet be a trip advisor hotel and tickets ?

Re: Football abroad
I wasn't sure what sort of firm you meant! Pretty sure it's more fun to book it all yourself as long as you've got tickets. We've always done our own thing and it's been fine.

Re: Football abroad
Just book it yourself.
All I would say is just be aware of football fixtures in the top divisions being moved for TV.
However having said that Germany is one of the better options as games tend to be played Saturday afternoon with a couple shifted to a Sunday.
Having done plenty of games across Europe Germany is a great introduction.

Re: Football abroad
We went to the PSV vs Vitesse game in November, was a simple enough process.
Cheap flights, cheap football and a weekend abroad on the booze. Spot on weekend.

Don't know how easy it is to get tickets for Bayern. All games seem to sell out and although they might keep some for football tourists I suspect these might go to specialist companies.
We quite often get parties at Haching because they couldn't get tickets for Bayern. Could be worse though 3rd division 9€ for the ticket 3.50€ for a beer (very agreeable Tegernseer Helles or Hopf Wiessbier) 6.90€ for roast pork and potato dumpling in the beer garden. Mind you we haven't scored for 6 games...
You'll find the English Speaking Corner on the South Terrace (home standing) near the beer stand.

What's the most unusual or exotic place you've seen a game? I once watched a league game at the national stadium in Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles!
