Wigan have proved over the years that they have the best academy and the vast majority of the youth team are from the Wigan area. Wigan don't bring in as many big signings from other areas, as the youth system keeps bringing in players who are more than capable of playing at a senior level.

No argument with the fact as you say it. Some disagreement with the way that has evolved.

Ps, the hypocritical side of me missed my fix on TV last night !!!

Got to hope for a Cas win, (which I would anyway no matter what the league looked like). Cas play my kind of rugby. Just a pity they do it with so many ex KR players on their staff.

Tightly knotted guts already about tomorrow !!!

Well that was a game for the purists, as the defences and conditions stifled a lot of attacking rugby. Still at least Wigan won and just for you Rob, Zak had a great game!!!

It was a poor game albeit in poor conditions both teams did not impress me, and could have gone either way,
You really have blinkers on when it comes to Hardaker, he didn't impress or stand out - settle the argument please EDJOHNS !

Yet another impressive win for Toronto Wolfpack over Swinton. It's hard to imagine any side in the Championship, who will prevail over them.

Can't understand why Wigan's home game on Thursday against the London Bronco's is being televised. Surely it would have been better to have moved one of the other games over to the Thursday.

Net has been down since Saturday. I have not been hiding, Honestly !!!!

Bad day yesterday. If we can't beat that Leeds side no idea where our next win comes from. 28-0 down with 18 mins to go and finish 28-24. Never in my life at any sports event have I seen an atmosphere change as quickly as when we put on our first 4 points. The Leeds fans, even with so little time left, expected us to go on and win.
You can't win when players are so tense it looks like the ball is coated with butter !!!!

Pete, the infatuation with the Wolfpack is poor to say the least. They are not in any way shape or form playing on a level playing field.
Even if you ignore the fact they are being allowed to play where they want when they want, the simple financial side makes a mockery of the game.
THEY HAVE NO CAP. . ... THEY ARE PAYING OUT MORE IN WAGES FOR PLAYERS THAN S/L CLUBS ARE. ..... THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY "MARQUEE PLAYERS" BECAUSE THEY DON'T NEED THEM WITH NO CAP. .... WHEN ACTUALLY IN CANADA ALL THE STAFF AND PLAYERS LIVE IN THE CLUB OWNED HOTEL. .... AIR CANADA AS A CLUB SPONSOR PAY ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES AND THEY FLY CLUB CLASS.
Finally, these are top class players with years of experience in SL and the Aussie leagues playing guys who for the most part put in a days work either before or after playing and train, AT MOST twice a week.

I have no problem with the theory of "expansion", but this way is not the correct way.
Yes they will win the league, yes they may be promoted,(at the moment they would not as a majority of chairmen are against), but the way they are doing it is tainting the game.

We have had a slightly lesser problem at KR with Minns, who's ban is nearly up. Most of our fans want him back. He is entitled to earn his living but personally I don't want him back. He should go to another club, and yes I have told him that to his face.

Hardaker is a hard 1. He is a very, very good player and I get why Wigan wanted him, especially with loosing the Tonkins brothers.

I also think the way he treated everyone at Cass, from chairman down to the youngest fan is disgusting. The club stood beside him over and over and he let them down.

He has not pulled up any roots so far at Wigan.

Would not want at KR

Does that answer the question?

We beat Wakey at their place a few weeks ago in a very low scoring game. If people need lots of points on the board to have seen "a good game" I feel sorry for them and they know little of the game.
Don't know about the players but MY ribs were hurting at the end because we could hardly breath it was so tense.

Sorry Pete, but I will lay long odds he will never "Reach his peak". He is a walking disaster..

I don't do "hate" at all. We had Kelly who was a disgrace the way he sold us down the river by telling opponents our set plays, and while I could not wait to see the back of him at KR I still enjoy watching him even though he is at Dullers. Hardaker is similar, when he is on it, he really is special, but in a family orientated sport with so many young kids who idolise him, I just think he is 1 that should be out of the game for kids sake. I would hope he stays on the straight and narrow, but like our Cas loving friend, I will lay long odds against it happening.

Hardaker let us down massively less than a week from the Grand Final caused big disruption to how we wanted to play, we had beaten Leeds 8 times in a row and I am sure we would have won it, practised and agreed tactics went out the window.Yes Leeds had big previous GF form, but I was gutted with our performance that day, probably never have a better chance.

Well I guess a win is a win, but that wasn't comfortable for Wigan, still 3 wins on the bounce is not to be sneezed at.

A bit hypocritical of me, but boy I was ready for a fix last night.
I know they are bottom but Bronco's really are a team in every sense. Every time I watch Kieran Dixon I dispare at the way he was driven out of KR by the fans after 1 poor game in the 15 cup final. The lad has speed to waste.

You seem to dislike close games Pete. I love a good old hard fought thud and blunder game with every player going at it to the max. To me, 50 point games are boring and do nothing for the sport. The closer the sides are the better.
The table is looking bad for us at the moment. Please, please, please can we have a few walking wounded back.

I prefer the games not to be too close, I was worried at half time. But for neutrals I guess it was a good game. Hopefully we've turned a corner, but our next 3 fixtures will prove if this is the case. We play Warrington twice once in the Challenge Cup and very interestingly we play away at Catalan in the home of Barcelona, it'll be interesting to see what size crowd that attracts.

Hope Hull KR pick up and you get a few of your injured players back.

The Camp Nou will be rammed full I am sure of that 1. (KR have 4 coaches doing a 5 day trip).
We have Salford twice in a couple of weeks. First in the cup, then magic. Means 4 games with them this season. To much !!!!!
Can't see where our realistic points are coming from unless we can beat Udders in 3 weeks.

Been to every game in France for the last 6 seasons.
This year is a tad different. I normally stay in Hull the night of our home game and go over to Holland on the ferry the day after and get back to the UK the day before our next home game. This year I will be in London for the cup final then leave for Dover.
Means I miss my stopover in Brugge to see friends on the way out.
Did not enjoy the trip to Toulouse as much. Not the same atmosphere.

I would actually put money on the Nou Camp being filled. The Catalans are sports nuts.

I saw you had 11 out injured last night and losing McShane was a massive blow. Can't sympathise to much as I still want them to win the title.

Not a lot to say that won't sound like sour grapes yet again.
Watch 1 of the replay shows and see for yourself the perfect proof that the "top" sides get the calls from ref's.
Start with an assault on Danny Mac that if on the streets would have had the guy in court.
3 big games all away coming up !!!!
Ps Pete. next home game is Wigwam.
