The more we get soon, the better the chance of convincing a decent manager at interview that he/she will have a competitive budget.

The generosity of people astounds me to be honest. The club means so much to people.

Even though Tommy has gone I'm not contributing until Martin Gray is back and we resign Nathan Cartman, Gary Brown, Leon Scott and Phil Turnbull. Whoops, sorry, wrong message board. I meant this for the Tin Shed!
Done! Have increased mine a bit to match Andy Park's. Andy, you've inspired me! We just need to find your missing beard now.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
A very, very cute tactic by the club to set this off BEFORE the new manager is installed.
I very much look forward to the reaction of many people when Big Mart inevitably makes his triumphant return.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
AMAZING after one day to have reached so much. I have upped mine from last year, the wife thinks that I am mad! No I am a Darlo fan from afar and cannot attend home games, going to away games does not help the cause, BtB does.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Expensive week, season ticket, new home shirt(with fans names on) and BTB subscription any new manager coming in and reading the fans website know we care about our club hence we are prepared to dig deep forsaking other luxuries from Lidl (Not M&S) and we expect you to care and consider very carefully giving any of our hard earned money as agents fees, travel costs for training when they do not have a sick note from their Mum or on signing players with no heart and no bloody interest in Darlo FC!

This will send a clear message to the club and the new manager that the awful season we have just had is in the past now and we start with a clean slate.Fantastic effort, typical of Darlo fans.MikeinBlack2 wrote:I've pressed confirm on £15 a month (up from £10 last season). Over £21k now!

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Done mine this morning, if we can get the same 400+ fans from last year to contribute then target should be hit, excellent start when most fans may not have yet heard the new btb has started.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
I've contributed for the first time for this BTB. Never been in a position before and my contribution is only small but happy to support our club
Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Interesting to read that of the £86k pledged, only £80k was received by the club, so £6k in cancelled pledges.
Not a bad fall-out rate to be honest, I'm sure some were people feeling they didn't want to put money behind the previous manager but for others it may have been a change in personal circumstance which you're always going to have a proportion of, but 93% actually paid in is encouraging.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
It says 80k has been received so far but there will still be a few payments still to collect depending on who pledged when, and when the direct debits were set up.
Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
The target was £80,000 anyway and we got there, and as you point out there will always be changes in personal circumstances which mean a fewSpyman wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 9:42 amInteresting to read that of the £86k pledged, only £80k was received by the club, so £6k in cancelled pledges.

It seems quite a few people are increasing their pledges this year me included. No disrespect to Tommy Wright but I would not have increased my donation without a change in manager.
Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
£20,000 raised on first day is a phenomenal achievement
